All kinds of Chinese and foreign experts and reports have unanimously believed that China's shipbuilding industry is ushering in a new wave of shipbuilding boom and wealth. In the last wave of shipbuilding fever, Chinese people with backgrounds such as masons, welders, fishermen, and of course, outstanding university graduates became billionaires or billionaires. The International Shipbuilding and Offshore Network and Seahow team, which are composed of famous Chinese and foreign enterprises, will continue to hold a series of professional conferences, forums and release a series of reports at home and abroad, exchange and analyze which shipping companies will bring new huge material and spiritual wealth, and gather Chinese and foreign exchanges to discuss how to find and grasp business opportunities to create new material and spiritual wealth.

The 2024 Dalian Forum on Advanced Shipbuilding Welding, Painting and Final Assembly will be held from October 31 to November 1
From the perspective of the development cycle of the global shipbuilding industry, from 1886 to 2024, there will be a total of 6 major cycles in the world's shipbuilding industry, and each cycle will last about 20 years on average. In each big cycle, it basically contains a medium cycle of 7~15 years and a small cycle of 3~4 years, in which there are ups and downs, big waves and sand. In the last wave of shipbuilding craze launched in 2005, Zhang Zhirong, the boss of Rongsheng Heavy Industries, who was ridiculed as a mason, and Ren Yuanlin, the head of Yangzijiang Shipbuilding who was born as a welder, have always been amazing to grasp the opportunity of the times to become billionaires.
Zhang Dehuang, the father of Zhang Zhirong, the founder of Rongsheng Heavy Industries, was originally just a mason in Linzi Town, Rugao (a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Nantong), and later came to Shanghai to develop and established Ditong Construction Company. One of the ways Zhang Dehuang educated his son was to let him go to the construction site to receive exercise, and do some work such as handing cement buckets, masonry, and pushing carts. In 1990, Zhang Zhirong graduated from Shanghai Songjiang Construction Engineering School and started his own company with 30,000 yuan earned from part-time work. Later, he continued to develop and succeed in the real estate industry. In 2005, Zhang Zhirong dug Chen Qiang, then the general manager of Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., and established Rongsheng Heavy Industry Shipbuilding Company. In 2010, Rongsheng Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. was listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, becoming the mainland private enterprise with the highest market value in Hong Kong that year, and its founder Zhang Zhirong won the title of "King of Ships". Zhang Zhirong and Chen Qiangye also made a lot of money.
Later, the ship market changed abruptly, and Rongsheng Heavy Industry fell into trouble. Recently, a new wave of shipbuilding fever is coming, and it is said that the shipbuilding order is in hand, and Rongsheng Heavy Industry will make a comeback.
Shipbuilding is too hot, China's largest private shipyard, Rongsheng Heavy Industry will make a comeback, and the shipbuilding order is in hand
Also seized the opportunity in the last wave of shipbuilding fever launched in 2005, the story of Ren Yuanlin, the head of Yangzijiang Shipbuilding who was born as a welder, is even more amazing.
In 1957, Ren Yuanlin was born in Jiangyin, which has the reputation of "China's first manufacturing county", and in 1975, Ren Yuanlin's father sent him to Jiangyin Shipyard, the predecessor of the Yangtze River, at the age of 18. At that time, Jiangyin Shipyard was still a state-owned enterprise. After entering the factory, Ren Yuanlin worked very hard, he not only mastered the operation of the welder in one year, but also read more than 50 professional books. Three years later, with a flexible mind and self-motivation, he became the first person in the factory to weld!
In order to understand the English manuals of various parts in the shipyard, he bought English books and English tapes early. By chance, once the factory signed a contract with a Singapore customer, because only he could speak English, he was sent to Singapore. Feeling that the accumulation of work experience was not enough, he applied for the Central Radio and Television University of Jiangsu Province to study economics and mastered professional knowledge in economics and management. There is no road in vain in life. Flexible and self-motivated, Ren Yuanlin has been promoted step by step from welder, technician, workshop foreman, engineer, workshop director, technical section chief, and production section chief, and was promoted to deputy director at the age of 29, and was already the leader of the shipyard at the age of 40. At the end of the 20th century, shipyards went bankrupt one after another, and in the case of a recession in the industry, Ren Yuanlin decided to buy the shipyard and privatize it. Eventually, more than 1,000 employees and management took a stake in the shipyard and changed its name to Yangzijiang Shipyard. By 2004, Yangzijiang Shipyard had become a private enterprise and the first private shipyard in China. Ren Yuanlin, the first to eat crabs, and his Yangtze River shipyard were also a great success. In 2007, Yangzijiang Shipyard was successfully listed in Singapore, becoming the first private shipyard to be listed in China. Today, the Yangtze River Shipyard has the reputation of "one of the best shipyards in the world". Its profit in 2017 was nearly 3 billion, and it held orders for 123 large ships, once ranking first in China and second in the world in the field of merchant ship construction. The profit ranks first among Chinese shipbuilding enterprises. Ren Yuanlin's Yangtze River has accumulated more than 60 billion yuan in taxes.
In 2013, the International Shipbuilding and Seahow teams summarized the development of the industry and released two industry special reports in Chinese and English respectively, which were well received at home and abroad. More than 10 years have passed, and the International Ship Offshore Network and the Seahow team will complete a new report in 2024, and welcome shipyards and design units to provide new updated information (not confidential), and also welcome sponsorship from budget units.
