It's been almost a month since Seven Days World went live, and developer Starry Studio has been busy dealing with cheats, gameplay tweaks, and a lot of feedback from players. Whether it's an account-wide cosmetic item or a door change, Starry Studio listens and strives to provide a solution. Going forward, in-game interactions and audio optimizations will be the focus, with many more planned for this month and beyond.
The first is keybindings, and while Starry Studio noted that some new keybindings have already been made available on Thursday, August 1st, the team assures the community that more will be available this month.
"We will also allow players to customize the Interact Button, Free Camera Build Mode Button, and Vehicle Mode Button," Starry Studio wrote. Adapting this free-to-play Steam game to every playstyle as much as possible is where Starry Studio will evolve in the future, and the continued focus on gamepad and keybinding options is designed to achieve this. This month you'll also have the option to turn off the ability to switch weapons via the mouse wheel, as well as turn off the constant recurring hints every time you enter or leave a territory.
Foreign media PC GamesN also found that the HUD of "Seven Days World" is very chaotic, and the left side is always full of text. Starry Studio heard similar complaints and assured PC GamesN that "in the future, players will be able to go into the settings and customize the modules included in the HUD." ”
Doors are also a big issue, so Starry Studio says it will increase the interaction distance by 30% to make it easier to explore when they are opened and closed.
Starry Studio also outlined its plans to improve the overall state of Seven Days World's sound, with a lot of tweaks on the horizon. More music tracks will be added to the radio station, and weapon sounds are getting a complete makeover.
"We've got a plan in place to optimize [the weapon sounds], especially the fade-out sounds, which will be smoother in the future."
The team also noted that players had mixed feedback on the sound when hit, with the volume either too high or too low. Therefore, the team will further test the sound and optimize it before making a judgment. If you'd like to learn about the full changes, just head over to the "Interactive & Audio Experiences" developer discussion channel in the official Discord.
Although Seven Days has only been available on Steam for a month, it's Starry Studio's open approach to communication that keeps the community alive. Big and small issues will be taken care of, and we will have a clear idea of what will change and when. If Starry can continue to maintain this openness, then Seven Days of World will continue to exist for a while.
"Seven Days World" is currently online 166,000, with a 24-hour peak of 182,000
Despite this, Starry Studios is still focusing on the Seven Days server issue for now. The team wanted to optimize the online issue first, and even postponed the upcoming all-account cosmetic fix for it. So, if you're worried about shifting your focus when reading these plans, it's not.
