Test Apple Smart features
The first features of Apple Smart are now available for testing in the iOS 18.1 developer beta released earlier this week. Currently, this beta and its features are limited to the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. As a result, iOS 18.0 and iOS 18.1 are being tested at the same time, and the public release of Apple's smart initial features has now been postponed to iOS 18.1, which is expected to be released in October. Features to explore include new writing tools, suggested replies in the Messages app, email summaries, and more.
Features that are not yet available
Although Apple Smart covers a wide range of new features, not all of them can be tested in the initial iOS 18.1 developer beta. For example, although Siri has a redesigned interface when activated, it currently lacks features such as enhanced in-app controls, screen awareness, and personalized user context. Apple has said that these additional features will be rolled out over the next year.
