The Three Gorges of the Yangtze River is one of the top ten most beautiful scenery in the mainland, just like a poetic Chinese classical ink painting standing in the territory of the mainland, the beauty of the Three Gorges lies in the flexible combination of mountains and water, and the most beautiful place of the Three Gorges is in Yichang, Hubei.
In 2018, we had a cooperation project with the Yichang Three Gorges Scenic Area, and stayed at the Shipai Village Resort Hotel, where the scenic spot is located, which is the place where the Shipai Defense Battle took place that shocked the world. In 1943, the Chinese army thwarted the conspiracy of the invading Japanese army to enter the gorge and advance westward with flesh and blood, ushering in a major military turning point in the Chinese nation's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, which was also known as the "Battle of Stalingrad in the East".
Shipai Village is located on the south bank of Xiling Gorge, so every time you come to Yichang, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Xiling Gorge. Xiling Gorge used to be the most dangerous place in the Three Gorges, named after Xiling Mountain in Yichang City. Xiling Gorge is not affected by the impoundment of the Three Gorges Dam and retains the original scenery of the gorge river. After the Xiling Gorge has been renovated, the water flow has lost the original turbulent momentum, and the water potential tends to be gentle, but the magnificent landscape here is still beautiful.
