There is a video on the Internet dedicated to the so-called asymmetric competition against China United States.
Some experts in United States have found through research that China has occupied some commanding heights due to science and technology. And if the United States wants to compete with China, it does not necessarily have to be-for-tat with these Chinese technology fields. United States experts believe that as long as the key areas are held in a few key areas, a systemic advantage can be formed to meet China's challenge.
One of them, Schmidt, presented an assessment report. In the report, he recommended that the United States government should involve private companies in the sharing and evaluation of United States defense and intelligence. At the heart of this proposal is to integrate the scientific and technological capabilities of United States private companies into United States' military strategy and intelligence. Schmidt's team brought in Google, Microsoft, Apple, Starlink, Facebook, Lockheed Martin, and Raytheon.
Originally, this mechanism was used to deal with technological competition with China, such as Huawei's 5G competition. However, because of the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, United States this set of so-called asymmetric competition tactics has not been applied to China, but to the Russia in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. The Russian-Ukrainian battlefield immediately became a testing ground for the new strategy of the United States war.
Before the outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, a team of engineers from Microsoft secretly entered Ukraine. They found that as early as a few years ago, Russia implanted a sleeping Trojan horse in key nodes of Ukraine's government system, including electricity, communications, military command, websites, etc. The Microsoft team of engineers cleaned up all Trojans and built a firewall system for Ukraine at the same level as the U.S. military's combat system.
Three hours before the start of the war on February 24, 2022, the Russia cyber army began to send a wake-up program to Ukraine, and within two hours, Microsoft's headquarters in Seattle sent a system patch to intercept the Trojan wake-up program. But Putin did not know that he still launched a ground attack as originally planned. On the first day of the Russian offensive, Google began to intervene on the battlefield. Russia's mobile phones, the real-time traffic function of ground navigation are completely blocked, while Ukraine's mobile phones are normal. A few days later, Russia's mobile phones had no network signal, while the Ukraine army's online celebrity live broadcast was not affected. Google has launched its Aegis program again. Google has included the websites of Ukraine's news media, civil society groups and organizations in Aegis's protection against HeG attacks.
In the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, the photos and videos sent by Ukraine soldiers and civilians can be seen by many people in the world, but few can see the photos or videos sent by the Russia side. The Ukraine government also issued a notice that if people see Russia's armed forces, they will take photos with their mobile phones and send them to a special address on Facebook. These photos have an address location function. Seeing these photos, Ukraine and the United States and the West can determine the location of Russian troops. How can this battle be fought? The Russian army, in front of Ukraine and the West, is completely transparent. This is the power of the so-called asymmetric warfare. After the photos of the Russian army were sent, the AI system of Ukraine and Western intelligence services screened and analyzed the faces in a large number of photos to find out the location of senior generals, so as to carry out so-called targeted killings. Therefore, in the first few days after the outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, several Russian generals were defeated by targeted attacks in this way.
Ukraine's communications and intelligence transmission on the battlefield mainly rely on Musk's Starlink. Without the instructions of the United States government, how can Ukraine command Musk? So, it's a completely all-round asymmetric war. In the early days after the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, many people said that Russia army fought as if it had pulled its hips. The Russian army in front of the United States, the West and Ukraine is completely transparent, and Russia is passive everywhere, how can it not pull the crotch?
People will say that it is still the technology of the United States. That's true. However, looking at today's Russian-Ukrainian battlefield, it will make people have some doubts. At the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, Ukraine looked so capable, and the battle was fought vigorously. Why is it that now that I have been fighting for 800 days, why does the Ukraine, who has received such high-tech support from United States, seem to have pulled his hips, is it possible that all the high-tech United States have failed all of a sudden? This seems a bit confusing.
It is speculated that the high technical support of United States Ukraine has not been removed, and it is estimated that it has not been destroyed by Russia. But how come these high-tech things don't look as bright as they did at the beginning? Perhaps on the part of Russia, it is also stepping up some high-tech investment, right? However, there seems to be little basis for this.
We can only return to the basic understanding or traditional analysis of war.
To fight a war, it is the country's comprehensive national strength that is being fought. The level of technology on both sides of the war is of course very important, but it is not a decisive factor in winning the war. Ukraine as a war agent of the United States, more and more people in the Ukraine have seen it clearly. War-weariness and anti-war sentiment among them are growing. In the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, the people of Russia believe that this is a battle related to the survival of Russia. They had to win the battle, or at least they couldn't be the loser. In terms of comprehensive national strength, Russia is much stronger than Ukraine. Especially after the privatization of Ukraine, many industrial enterprises have seriously decayed, and the country's economy has been in shambles. Now Ukraine is completely dependent on blood transfusions from the United States and the West for respite. With the support of a variety of high technologies, how can such a state be able to achieve victory on the battlefield?
The fact that the Russia-Ukraine conflict has come to this stage also tells us that high technology is indeed very useful, but the role of high technology is also limited. An army armed with high technology may indeed produce crushing results against an army with a low level of technology. However, if a high-tech armed army does not have an advantage in terms of overall national strength, it may not necessarily be able to win a war. In other words, even if the army is armed with high technology, the country behind the army has strong strength, but because the war they launched is an unjust war, and their basic strategy is also wrong, not to mention that they always think that their power is almost infinite, so they squander and consume their national strength at will, then they may still go to defeat. For these reasons, the Korean War, the Viet Nam War, and later the Afghanistan War, the United States military used high technology, but they were ultimately strategic losers.
Moreover, the United States participates in United States' military and intelligence strategy by organizing those high-tech private enterprises, which has certain merits. But one thing, these private companies are not working for nothing. Your United States government wants to give money to people. Isn't Starlink just because it provided battlefield services to Ukraine, but did not receive a penny, and as a result, Musk did not do it? The United States will actually say big things and make small money to private enterprises in the United States, which is very picky. This is really contrary to United States sense and concept of doing business. United States is indeed rich, and his high technology is indeed powerful. But if you want to use a private enterprise for nothing, then they will definitely not agree. And if you can't use it in vain, where will your money come from? As the saying goes, a good man can't stand three bubbles. United States has invested huge amounts of money on the battlefield in this way, just like it is scurrying every day, and even the strongest man cannot withstand it. It didn't take long for the United States to come down.
Returning to the original topic, can United States succeed in adopting an asymmetric competition strategy with China?
The United States said it wanted to form a systemic advantage in several key areas of science and technology. If these advantages of the United States have always existed, they do not seem to be able to stop the development of Chinese science and technology. So how can United States use its systemic superiority to compete with China in so-called asymmetry? Perhaps one would think that in the United States areas of strength, United States would be firmly stuck in China. The question is, can United States really get stuck? Doesn't the United States always want to jam China's relatively backward fields? How on earth are they going to get carded? If we don't beg them at all, we don't need their hardware, we don't need their software, how can they do it?
All we can think of now is that the United States will jam any of their hardware and software products and absolutely not sell them to China. What else? What else can they do? What they want to do again is to infiltrate China and directly disrupt and sabotage China's scientific research undertakings. United States can do this kind of thing. So we must take strict precautions. The rest of the equation is that they just sit there and take it for granted. They will definitely fantasize that China will not work this way, that will not work, this will not work, this will not work. Well, let them continue to fantasize, no one can stop their fantasies.
