On the eve of this year's summer vacation, 17-year-old Sha Chunyan immediately signed up to come from her hometown in Ningxia to the military camp she longed for to experience the life of armed police soldiers.

When Lu Yabo, who was at school, learned of the heavy rain in his hometown, he remembered his grandfather, grandmother and younger brother at home, and immediately made a video call to his younger brother. Due to the high terrain of the home, the family did not move with the villagers, but Lu Yabo was very anxious when he saw the flood that had risen to his doorstep.

"Brother, don't worry, the officers and soldiers of the armed police often come to the house to check the situation, and they also sent us a lot of daily necessities, taking care of us like family." While his younger brother comforted him, he also sent some photos he had taken. In the photo, a group of young soldiers of the same age as them are moving villagers and carrying supplies in waist-deep water, which suddenly makes Lu Yabo "feel safe and feel much more at ease".

"Wearing camouflage uniform, I feel as if I am also a glorious soldier of the people." Deng Chenglu, a first-year student at Hainan Normal University, listened attentively and was deeply attracted by the neat camp, well-trained trainees, and advanced weapons and equipment.

Influenced by her family who took her to the red scenic spot since she was a child, Deng Chenglu has always had a dream of joining the army in her heart, she wants to be admitted to the military academy and become a soldier. But in the year of the college entrance examination, she played abnormally and missed her dream. Because the seeds of joining the army have already been planted in her heart, she is still a freshman, and she resolutely signed up for the army, and is about to go to the hot military camp in September this year.

"What do you think of our armed police force?" Yao Junhan, the leader of the training squad, patted Deng Chenglu, who was fascinated, on the shoulder and introduced to her his training and life in the grassroots troops.

In 2021, Yao Junhan, a freshman in college, chose to join the army and become an armed police soldier. Later, because of his outstanding performance, he was admitted to the Armed Police Engineering University in 2022 and became a cadet.

On the first day of the training camp, through communication with the squad leader, Deng Chenglu took Yao Junhan as his role model.
