Recently, Slee & Co Architects, a South Africa architectural firm, has created a stunning hunting farm in the vast red soil of Namibia with its unique design concept, with the core concept of "integrating diversity, respecting tradition and embracing nature", which perfectly combines the client's vision with the rich cultural heritage of the place.
Inspired by Namibia's unique people, climate and geographical space, the design team uses advanced technology and local craftsmanship to create buildings that live in harmony with the environment. For Slee & Co Architects, architecture is not only a functional space, but also an emotional connection that evokes a deep resonance with nature and culture.
Slee & Co Architects incorporated red clay into cement plaster, so that all walls appear the same color as the surrounding land, creating a visual effect that blends in with the environment. The horizontal texture of the wall brings rich changes in light and shadow, and also makes the viewer's eye focus on the vast natural landscape, as if in dialogue with heaven and earth.
The cantilevered roof folds cleverly over the spine wall, sheltering the oversized balcony and framing the unrivalled expansive views. The building's corrugated roof, natural red sand-colored stucco walls and concrete floors, and wide glass doors that disappear into the walls when opened, create a unique experience with no gaps in nature.
