QS Quacquarelli Symonds, the world's higher education research institute, today released its latest QS World University Rankings 2022.

The QS World University Rankings are currently the most read world university rankings in the world. With a total of 1,300 institutions on the list this year, it is the largest world university ranking ever held by QS.
The ranking measures the world's universities in terms of specific indices in 6 areas:
Academic reputation: 40%
Number of citations of unit faculty papers: 20%
Teacher-student ratio: 20%
Employer Reputation: 10%
Proportion of international students: 5%
Proportion of international teachers: 5%
In this ranking, Australian universities have climbed across the board and performed very well!
Ranked top 10 in the world
In this QS World University Rankings, the top 10 schools are: Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Oxford University, Stanford University, Cambridge University, Harvard University, California Institute of Technology, Imperial College, ETH Zurich, University College London, University of Chicago. This is also the tenth consecutive year that MIT has been named no. 1.
