About 450 guests attended the ceremony, including Ambassador Zhang Jianwei to Kuwait, National Defense Attache Xue Chuanlai, Deputy Minister of Defense of Kuwait and Defense of Kuwait Prince Abdullah, Representative of the Chief of General Staff and Commander of the Army, Director of the Equipment Procurement Department and Commander of the Air Defense Forces, and other senior generals, as well as friends from all walks of life, diplomatic missions and military attachés in Kuwait, representatives of Chinese-funded institutions, overseas Chinese and overseas Chinese, and students studying abroad.
Xue Chuanlai said in his speech that the Chinese army will thoroughly implement Xi Jinping's thought on strengthening the army and unswervingly follow the road of strengthening the army with Chinese characteristics. China has always firmly pursued an independent foreign policy of peace, has always pursued a national defense policy that is defensive in nature, and strengthened national defense construction without targeting or threatening any country. A strong Chinese military has always been a staunch force in maintaining world peace and stability and serving the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. Military Attache Xue reviewed the traditional friendly relations between the two countries and the two militaries, and stressed that China is willing to actively implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, continuously enrich the connotation of national defense and military cooperation between the two countries, promote bilateral military cooperation and exchanges to a new height, and work together to build a community with a shared future for mankind.
In his speech, Prince Abdullah highly praised China's achievements in national defense and army building, and expressed his willingness to strengthen cooperation with China in military and other fields and to continuously consolidate and develop friendly relations between the two countries.
The atmosphere of the reception was warm, and videos and pictures of the Chinese military practicing the Global Security Initiative were played, such as "PLA" and "Shared Destiny - China's Army Maintaining World Peace". The guests spoke highly of the achievements of China's national defense and military modernization and sincerely wished the Chinese People's Liberation Army new achievements in success.
