"Two handfuls of bran and one noodle, if you don't break the rod, you will break the line", since the beginning of summer, I can always see this sentence on major short video platforms, and many anchors are recommending bran white noodles to fish grass carp.
Some of my fans should have also swiped this kind of video, and specially came to ask me if this kind of thing is reliable for catching grass carp, whether it is eye-catching and cheating traffic.
I always jokingly say: You're afraid you're a fake fan, I've shared this material 800 times, and I still ask!
Since I started writing fishing articles, I have shared this nest material (I have been using it for more than 10 years), and then I will write several related articles every year, so it can be said that as long as I write about grass carp, I will mention it.
There are two main reasons for repeatedly recommending this nest material, one is that it is cheap, how much is bran white flour, grass carp eats a lot like pigs, and it is generally necessary to play a heavy nest, not to mention using commercial bait, you are playing the old altar and fresh corn, and the finished product is also very high!
I just went to the vegetable market two days ago and asked, fruit corn is 5 yuan a catty, yellow corn is 7 yuan a catty, and there are not many corn kernels at all when a pound of corn is cut down, so it will cost dozens of yuan to make a nest!
The second is that the bran white flour has a good effect, mainly because it is fast and does not worry about feeding the fish.
The effect of fresh corn is good, but it is expensive, if you buy old corn for fermentation, the cost is low, but it is not easy to use! Long-term nest raising or overnight nest effect is good, but now fishing is not good, the nest is very slow, especially the small grass carp is not easy to use!
You can compare it, and the high and low are immediately visible.
Of course, it doesn't mean that you will be able to catch grass carp with bran white flour, but whether you can catch it depends on the resources, and it also depends on whether you can choose a fishing position and whether you can fish.
Saying that this kind of bait has a good effect is to compare it with other baits under the same conditions, and to highlight it, I don't know if you can understand it.
This method of grass carp fishing with bran and white flour was first taught by a friend of mine, who was much older and older than me, and had no skills and experience, and people only played wild fishing, so they used this cheapest bait to catch the biggest fish.
The only methods he taught me at the time were bran and white flour, as follows:
Blanch the bran with boiling water, just moisten it a little, and then prepare a bowl of warm water and put Angel yeast powder to melt, pour in the bran and stir evenly, put it in a plastic bag and ferment it slightly for one or two days, and smell the sour taste.
This method can also be used for carp fishing, adding a little more brown sugar when fermenting.
Because the bran is very light and not sticky, it is difficult to throw out, and even if it is thrown, it will be scattered as soon as it enters the water, and it will float on the water surface and cannot be formed into a nest at all, so it is necessary to add mud or flour to make a nest.
The role of mud and flour is the same, that is, in order to be able to form a ball to the end, it is not advisable to add a lot, you can just pinch it.
The above is the original method taught to me by a friend, and I used it a few times with good results, so I improved it on this basis.
Why improve? Because the effect of leaving fish with bran and white flour alone is not very good. Where the resources are good, there is no problem, and the fish will soon enter the nest if you hit it, but not in the places with poor resources.
When he taught me this method, the resources were really good at that time, and there were many big fish, but now everyone knows what the situation is like in wild fishing, and there are fewer and fewer fish, and it is more and more difficult to catch, so we have to keep pace with the times.
Or going back to the nest material, I upgraded the original recipe, mainly adding 2 things, one is a commercial bait for grass carp, and the other is corn.
But there's a lot to be said about it.
Corn, old corn, young corn are OK, if you are playing in advance, fishing for a long time, small fish in the water are serious or for a large individual grass carp, then use old corn.
On the contrary, it is better to use tender corn for grass carp that is caught and fished, the fishing time is not long, the small fish nest is not very fierce, and the small individual grass carp is better.
Of course, the two can be mixed, and the mixing ratio depends on the above conditions.
Theoretically, any kind of commercial bait is OK, as long as it is for grass carp, I personally still consider the cost, so I have been using the five grains of the North and South Company (commonly known as green bricks) all these years, and old fans know that I have used this bait for more than ten years.
I have also used the cow nest of the western wind, the effect is also good, and the balance is better, there are several kinds of cow nests, respectively, for different fish conditions, fishing grass carp to buy "cow nest grass bream".
Of course, it is not limited to these kinds of things, but these are the main materials, bran attracts fish quickly, grass carp especially likes and can't eat enough, corn stays fish for a long time, small trash fish can't eat, there are additives in the commercial bait that can further speed up the speed of attracting fish, and the composition of the commercial bait is more mixed, and the white flour is viscous.
Each bait has its own purpose, and I think it makes sense to do so. But you can't only add these four, like I have added rapeseed cake, chick feed, and cube bait before, and some bait that is about to expire and has expired can also be added.
The proportion of the four main baits, I will probably say here, bran is the main one, at least more than 50%, corn accounts for the second, about 30%, and 20% of commercial bait is enough. As for the white noodles, they are mainly used for viscosity, and they don't need to be counted in it, so that our bait can be held into a ball and not easily scattered.
We only need to ferment the bran in advance, and it doesn't matter if the other kinds are fermented or not.
If you are in a hurry to use it, and you don't even have time to ferment the bran, then it's okay, don't add water when mixing the bait, replace it with beer, it's best to mix it at night, put a plastic bag and stuff it overnight, and the next day you will go straight to the nest.
Nesting with bran white noodles, the back of the nest or tender corn, the frequency of the nest depends on the fish situation, the resources are good, the fish are fished, the frequency of the nest can also be fast, every once in a while to hit a dozen grains.
If the resources are poor and you only catch a few fish a day, then make up less and focus on guarding fishing.
The last question is what to use to make a nest with bran white flour and what hook to use.
The hook has little to do with the nest material, if the fish is good, you can directly use tender corn, if the fish is not very good, choose commercial bait, grass bream + Big Mac + super lure, this is a classic old formula, you can add a little fruit acid, the effect is better.
The article is written here, I hope it can be helpful for everyone to fish grass carp, see the last fishing friends to pay attention to and like it, I wish everyone to catch big fish and explode.
