Hosted the event
The event invited Professor Erwin Neher, Nobel Prize winner in physiology or medicine and director of the Nobel Prize Laboratory for Neuroplasticity in the Institute of Brain, Professor Robert Desimone, academician of the United States Academy of Sciences, academician of the Academy of Humanities and Sciences, and director of the McGovern Institute for Brain Research at MIT, Professor Feng Guoping, academician of the United States Academy of Humanities and Sciences and director of neurobiology at the Stanley Center for Mental Disorders, and researcher Xu Fuqiang, director of the Translational Research Center for Neurological Diseases of the Institute of Brain and a national talent. Professor Bi Guoqiang, Director of the Brain Information Center of the Institute of Brain Science and National Talent, and Professor Han Minghu, Executive Director of the Department of Mental Health and Public Health of the School of Life and Health, brought six wonderful lectures.

Guangming Science City Visit
Industrial highland, scientific heavy weapon
The Shenzhen Brain Science and Technology Industry Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Brain Innovation Center"), located in Guangming Science City, focuses on the key pain points of industrial transformation in the field of brain science and brain-like intelligence, and creates the country's first "brain-to-settle" professional incubation and empowerment platform.
On the afternoon of the 17th, two teachers from the industrialization team, Chen Xianxue and Zhang Kexin, respectively introduced the development process and scientific research transformation conditions of the brain innovation center, and associate researcher Jia Fan led the campers to visit the important platform for gene and cell therapy vector and preparation transformation on the seventh floor. Subsequently, researcher Huang Tianwen and associate researcher Zhu Xinzhou introduced the innovative concept and characteristic incubation system of the Brain Innovation Center to the students, and demonstrated the diversified career development paths of neuroscience majors, including engaging in basic scientific research, technology research and development, science popularization, and innovation and entrepreneurship.
The development of brain science is inseparable from the "sharp weapon" of basic research. The major scientific and technological infrastructure of brain analysis and brain simulation (hereinafter referred to as "brain facilities") located in the core start-up area of Guangming Science City is divided into three modules, including brain analysis, brain editing and brain simulation modules.
Under the leadership of researcher Wang Feng and teacher Ren Jia, the campers visited the imaging platform of the Experimental Science Department of the Large Facility, the Department of Non-human Primate Laboratory Animal Science, and the experimental platform of Building A. The close contact with the scientific heavy equipment made the campers feel the surging momentum of Shenzhen's scientific and technological development, which left a deep impression on everyone.

The main body of students lives up to their love
On the 18th, the closing ceremony of the summer camp was held in the D6 circular lecture hall, and associate researcher Zhang Shuwen presided over the ceremony. Researcher Huang Tianwen, assistant to the director of the Institute of Brain Science, used his personal experience to encourage students to use the precious time of the university to discover their interests and pay attention to cutting-edge progress, social changes and needs at home and abroad. When it comes to student development, he emphasized the student-centered concept, and the mentor and platform will fully empower the personalized development of students. Finally, he said that he warmly welcomes students to apply for the Institute of Brain Science and the School of Life and Health, and looks forward to everyone gathering in Shenzhen next year.

This summer camp is not only an academic feast, but also a baptism of the soul. With their profound academic attainments and rigorous scientific research attitude, the teachers of the Advanced Institute have ignited our enthusiasm and dreams for scientific research. Here, I not only learned a lot of professional knowledge, but also deeply appreciated the rigor and charm of scientific research. As Albert Einstein said, "Science knows no borders, because knowledge belongs to all mankind." "In the Shenzhen Advanced Institute, we not only feel the profundity of academics, but also the selfless spirit of knowledge sharing."

Thanks to the enthusiastic reception of the teachers of the Brain Institute, this is really the best experience in all aspects of the summer camp I have attended! After a few days, the general feeling is that the brain is "not worthy of the name", and the strength is greater than the fame. The environment, teachers, and facilities of the Institute of Brain Science are the top echelons I have seen in neuroscience. Also, this is my first time in Shenzhen, and Shenzhen is such a beautiful city!

During this time, we visited a number of advanced laboratories to gain an in-depth understanding of the cutting-edge technologies of modern brain science and experience the charm of multidisciplinary interdisciplinarity. In addition, we had the pleasure of listening to cutting-edge lectures by a number of experts. They introduced the progress in the field of brain cognition from different perspectives and analyzed the development of drugs for brain diseases, from virus tracing to the construction of autism models. These lectures not only broaden our academic horizons, but also stimulate our enthusiasm and desire for scientific exploration. Summer camp is not just a place to learn and explore, but also a breeding ground for friendship and growth. Here, I met outstanding students from all over the world and established deep friendships. Growing in cooperation and making progress in competition, we encourage each other and move forward together.

First of all, I would like to thank all the teachers who have contributed to this summer camp, it is because of your efforts that we have a good experience here! The impression left on me by my brain is that there are many directions, new facilities, good platforms, and many opportunities for industrialization. This summer camp was also a rewarding trip for me, where I met many excellent teachers and classmates, had a comprehensive exchange with the teachers in various opportunities, and the teachers' knowledge and endless talk about their own opinions and scientific attitude also deeply influenced me.
