Wusun Ancient Road
This ancient road through the Tianshan Mountains from north to south communicated Wusun and Qiuzi 2,000 years ago, and the narrowest part of the ancient road is only a few meters, easy to defend and difficult to attack, so it is also an important traffic lifeline for peaceful exchanges between the Western Han Dynasty and the states of the Western Regions at that time.
The two ends of the Wusun Ancient Road are the present-day Kuqa and Turks areas, and it is also the closest hiking route connecting the north and south of Xinjiang. On the way, you can enjoy the rich geographical, flora and fauna wonders such as snow-capped mountains, glaciers, gravel slopes, flowstone beaches, fir forests, hills and meadows, snowmelt streams, moraine lakes, cliffs, etc.
In 2022, the Wusun Ancient Trail was selected as one of the top 10 hiking routes in China by Outdoor Adventure Outdoor.
