On July 16, Chen Moufu and Chen Moufu, villagers in the jurisdiction, had a conflict and dispute over the water problem in the field. Chen Moufu believes that Chen occupied the water resources he deserved during irrigation, resulting in insufficient irrigation of his farmland; Chen, on the other hand, believed that he had the right to use public water resources for irrigation, but the two had an argument due to improper speech and poor communication at the scene.
In order to avoid further intensification of the conflict, the people's auxiliary police of the Xiling Police Station learned about the situation from Chen Moufu and Chen Moufu respectively, and listened to the statements and demands of both parties. Starting from multiple perspectives such as law, morality and human feelings, the police explained the relevant laws and regulations and village rules and conventions to both sides, and guided both sides to look at the problem rationally. Under the patient mediation of the police, the two sides gradually calmed down and realized their mistakes and shortcomings. Eventually, the parties reached a settlement agreement.
