Huadu District weightlifting team won the "ten consecutive championships"
The four-day 2024 Guangzhou Youth Weightlifting Championship was successfully concluded on July 19 at Guangzhou Sports Vocational and Technical College. The Huadu District team won a total of 12 golds, 11 silvers and 7 bronzes, with a total score of 1444 points, not only the first place in the total score list, gold medal list and medal list, but also won the "Sports Ethics Award", and sat at the top of the gold medal list of the Guangzhou Youth Weightlifting Championship for ten consecutive years, showing the strong and unstoppable momentum of Huadu weightlifting.

The championship has a total of 40 competitions in 6 groups of men's and women's A, B and C, and nearly 300 athletes from 7 teams in the city have signed up for the competition. The Huadu District weightlifting team sent 47 outstanding athletes to participate in the fierce competition in men's and women's groups A, B and C, ranging in age from 10 to 15 years old. They fought tenaciously and dared to challenge on the field, and won one heavy gold medal after another for Huadu District.
It is worth mentioning that several key athletes, such as Jian Shiyi, Lai Liyi, Jiang Xinying, and Yu Hongying, are about to go to the Guangdong team for training after the city championships, indicating their infinite possibilities in the field of weightlifting in the future.
The brilliant achievement of the Huadu District weightlifting team was by no means achieved overnight. Since the formation of the team, the coaching team has devoted itself to every training session with a rigorous attitude and unremitting efforts. In the face of many difficulties such as limited field conditions and tight equipment resources, the whole team united as one, overcame one challenge after another with tenacious fighting spirit and indomitable will, and finally shined in this championship.
Chen Yumei and Huang Zhipeng, coaches of the weightlifting team of Huadu Sports School, said that since the establishment of the Huadu weightlifting team in 1995, it has always adhered to the mission of discovering, cultivating and transporting outstanding weightlifting talents, and with the care and support of leaders at all levels, it has continued to achieve excellent results in provincial and municipal competitions, and has sent a large number of outstanding athletes to the province and city.

Jiang Xinying
Since being selected from Xinhe Primary School in Huashan Town to the Huadu District Sports School weightlifting team in September 2020, Jiang Xinying has quickly emerged with her outstanding talent and unremitting efforts. From the first day she stepped into the sports school, facing the wall of honor of the world champion and national champion in the sports school, she was determined to one day hang her photo on the championship list. After several years of systematic training, she is now showing her edge and has a promising future.
Lai Liyi
Lai Liyi is known for her fearless courage and strong will. In the competition, she faced strong opponents, dared to challenge, played at a super level, and won gold in one fell swoop, showing the tenacity and self-confidence of Huadu weightlifters.
Jian Shiyi
Jian Shiyi is an excellent seedling selected by Yayao Primary School, and her academic performance has always been among the best. Since entering the training of Guangzhou Weilun Sports School in 2021, she has not only achieved great results on the sports field and become a leader among her peers, but also maintained excellent cultural learning and ranked at the top of her class. As the head of the dormitory, she has become a role model for her teammates with the image of both ability and political integrity, and has achieved all-round development of morality, intelligence and physique.
