On the same day, IOC President Thomas Bach visited the Sorbonne University in Paris. In 1892, Coubertin, the "father of the modern Olympic Games", gave a speech here and publicly proposed for the resumption of the Olympic Games for the first time. On June 23, 1894, the International Olympic Committee was officially established here.
