I am the rabbit in April '63, time flies, time flies, and in a blink of an eye I have entered the 62-year-old stage of life. In the years that have come along, I have experienced a lot and realized a lot.
I don't know how many friends of the same age will click on this article to read, today, I want to talk to friends of the same age, there are some things that we really don't want to do anymore.
1. Don't over-save
Most of our generation has experienced hard years, and the concept of saving has long been deeply ingrained in our hearts. In the past, savings were made to cope with the difficulties of life and to accumulate for the future of the family. However, now that we are all in old age and our children have grown up and have their own lives, it is time to adjust our outlook on life appropriately.
Excessive savings often compromise our quality of life. I am reluctant to eat and dress well, and I don't want to go to the hospital when I am sick, and I always think that I can save a little. But is this really what we want? We have worked hard for most of our lives, and we have given so much for our families and children, and now we should take good care of ourselves and enjoy life.
And over-saving can also affect our health. For example, buying food that is not fresh or of poor quality in order to save money may lead to various health problems in the long run. Or, because they are reluctant to spend money to participate in some beneficial fitness activities or buy some necessary health care products, their health is gradually declining.
We should understand that proper consumption and enjoyment are a kind of care and reward for ourselves. Of course, this does not mean that we should be extravagant and wasteful, but that we should arrange our lives reasonably within our own financial means to make our lives more comfortable, healthy and happy.
2. Don't always be alone at home
After retirement, many peers gradually become less inclined to go out due to changes in the pace of life and the shrinking of their social circles, and are always alone at home. Such a lifestyle will not only make our bodies weaker and weaker, but also make our minds more and more lonely and depressed.
The outside world is colorful, with beautiful landscapes, fun activities, and warm friends. We should go out and walk more, breathe in the fresh air, feel the warmth of the sun, and see how the city has changed. You can go for a walk in the park, exercise, or participate in various activities organized by the community to make new friends and expand your social circle.
Chatting with friends, playing chess, and square dancing can not only make our lives more interesting, but also make our moods more comfortable. In addition, participating in social activities can also keep our minds active and prevent the occurrence of Alzheimer's disease.
Don't always lock yourself up in your home and let loneliness and loneliness keep you company. Going out and embracing this wonderful world makes our later life more fulfilling and meaningful.
3. Don't give up on exploring new things
The times are constantly developing and progressing, and new technologies, new cultures, and new ideas are emerging one after another. We can't turn a blind eye to these new things or refuse to accept them just because we're old.
Learning to use new electronic devices such as smartphones and tablets not only makes it easier for us to keep in touch with family and friends, but also allows us to learn more information and knowledge through the Internet. Trying to learn a new language, a new instrument, or a new hobby can keep our brains active and our lives fresh.
Participating in cultural lectures, art exhibitions, and science and technology experience activities can broaden our horizons and enrich our spiritual world. Don't be afraid that you can't learn or do well, as long as you have a heart that has the courage to explore, we can continue to make progress and continue to discover the beauty in life.
4. Don't close your heart
As we age, we may experience some life setbacks and tribulations, such as the loss of loved ones, friends, or physical health problems. These experiences can hurt our hearts and become closed, reluctant to communicate with others, unwilling to express our emotions.
However, closing our hearts will only make us more miserable and lonely. We should be brave enough to open our hearts and share our joys and sorrows with family and friends, and seek their support and understanding. You can also find a professional psychological counselor to help us solve our inner troubles and stress.
At the same time, we must also learn to care for others and give them help and support. In the process of helping others, we can feel our own value and meaning, and we can also gain the gratitude and friendship of others. Let love and warmth flow in our hearts, and let our hearts become stronger and broader.
Fifth, don't let yourself be too idle, too idle is a curse
After retirement, there is no busyness and pressure of work, and time becomes abundant all of a sudden. If we can't arrange our time reasonably and let ourselves be too idle, it is easy to fall into a state of idleness, emptiness and boredom.
We can find something meaningful to do according to our interests and strengths. For example, participate in volunteer activities and contribute to social welfare undertakings; Learn a new skill to add fun to your life; Or write a memoir to record your life experience and feelings, and leave a valuable spiritual wealth for future generations.
Keeping ourselves busy not only makes our lives more fulfilling, but also allows our bodies and brains to be exercised and improve our quality of life. Moreover, by doing these things, we can also meet more like-minded friends and enrich our life experience.
Friends of the same age, most of the journey of life has been completed, but our lives go on. Let's stop over-saving and learn to enjoy life; Don't always be alone at home, go out and make friends; Don't give up on exploring new things and keep your enthusiasm for learning; Stop closing your heart and be brave enough to express your emotions; Don't let yourself be too idle anymore and find something meaningful for yourself to do.
Let us cherish this precious old age together, face life with a positive and optimistic attitude, and make our old age more wonderful and happier. I believe that as long as we are willing to change and try, our old age will be full of sunshine and hope.
In closing, I would like to say that there is no fixed pattern in life, and everyone has their own lifestyle and choices. But I hope that we can all find our own happiness and satisfaction in this wonderful old age. May we all have a healthy, happy and fulfilling old age!
