On July 11, a batch of durians arrived in Kunming from Thailand via the China-Laos Railway, and after completing the loading and unloading at Kunming Hongyun International Logistics Port, it will be transported to fruit sales terminals, supermarkets and stores in various places. The 108-tonne durian was transported from Vientiane South Station of the China-Laos Railway to the sub-loading and unloading point in Kunming in just 29 hours.
In order to better play the driving role of the China-Laos Railway in serving the "Belt and Road", China Railway Kunming Bureau Group Co., Ltd. has actively taken measures to improve the international cargo transportation capacity of the China-Laos Railway, and tropical fruits from South Asia and Southeast Asia have been continuously transported to China through the China-Laos Railway.
Since the beginning of this year, the China-Laos Railway has given full play to its role as a safe, efficient, fast and convenient international logistics channel, and has transported more than 100,000 tons of fruits, a year-on-year increase of 119.85%.
In order to do a good job in international cargo transportation, the railway department has increased the investment in software and hardware of the Mohan railway port, and added international trucks to the departure site, domestic trucks to the departure site, and the port pre-interception operation area. At the same time, the railway department has upgraded the test equipment and added a ground air testing device, which can complete the inspection and test of more than 700 vehicles per day, effectively improving the throughput capacity of import and export cargo trains.
The railway authorities have also actively optimized the cooperation mechanism with customs, border inspection and other departments to compress the cross-border customs clearance time of the China-Laos Railway to five hours. For fruits and vegetables, flowers, FMCG and other goods with high requirements for transportation time, "priority loading and early delivery" measures are adopted to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of goods.
"Durian, mangosteen and other fruits imported from Thailand are transported to Kunming through the Vientiane Nanzhun meter gauge reloading station of the China-Laos Railway, which is the fastest transportation method for our company."
