Since the beginning of this year, Chenzhou Senior High School in Henan Province has seized development opportunities, deepened the management of teaching routines, comprehensively improved the quality of teaching, and strived to build a first-class high school.

The school has set up a leading group for teaching quality improvement headed by the president to further promote the reform of the teaching and research system, further increase the implementation of teaching and research activities, and improve the quality and efficiency of teaching and research activities.

After the No. 1 comprehensive teaching building was put into use, the school organized teachers of the same discipline to concentrate on the office, and arranged the collective preparation and research time of each subject to every Monday morning or afternoon by rationally compiling the curriculum schedule of each grade.

Teaching and research activities are divided into two sessions, the first half of the collective preparation for sub-disciplines and grades, to achieve "one lesson and three studies", summarize and reflect on the implementation of last week's classroom teaching, arrange this week's teaching content, and discuss this week's classroom teaching class by class.

Before the collective lesson preparation begins, the lesson preparation team leader determines the main preparation person according to the teaching plan, and the main preparation person generally does not exceed three, and the rest of the teachers are the deputy main preparation person. The main preparer should prepare the lesson plan, courseware and other teaching materials and provide it to the teachers in this group in advance.

When teaching and research, the main preparation person will give the lecture, the deputy main preparation person will make a supplement, everyone must speak, and the preparation team leader will make the final summary, and finally form a unified teaching plan, unified courseware, unified time-limited exercises, and truly implement the system of adopting a unified progress and using a unified teaching plan and a unified courseware to attend classes.

The second half of the teaching and research activities will be open classes. The school requires teachers of all grades in the same discipline to participate, first listen to the lessons, then the teachers who make the lessons talk about the teaching design, the teachers who listen to the lessons evaluate the lessons, and finally the subject director makes arrangements for the style and discipline, work tasks, teaching and research, etc., so that everyone can gain.

The Leading Group for Improving the Quality of Teaching in schools encourages all subject groups to creatively carry out teaching and research activities. On the afternoon of October 4th, the history subject group invited the "Chenzhou Lecture Hall" sponsored by the school's teaching department into the office, and invited Ruan Feng, a special teacher of Chinese in Henan Province and the host of the Zhoukou High School Chinese Teacher Studio, to give a lecture on "Walking into the Scattered History of Huaiyang and the Professional Growth of Teachers", which can be described as unique.

With his profound knowledge and love for the history and culture of Huaiyang, Ruan Feng vividly told the "Seven Terraces and Eight Views" of Huaiyang and the stories behind the old site of the Red Revolution with rich graphic materials, etc., and traveled through history and culture with the history teacher, and visited the thick Huaiyang land. In the process of narration, he also combined his experience of contact with Huaiyang's historical and cultural heritage to introduce what he saw, felt and thought, which increased the interest, authenticity and sense of scene of the narration.

When talking about the professional growth of teachers, Ruan Feng said that teachers should read poetry books and constantly enrich their knowledge, so as to make the classroom more exciting and continuously broaden the horizons of students.
