Wang Chongqiu, as the only cameraman in the play, knows that Yang Jie is very demanding.
In order to shoot a picture that satisfies Yang Jie, Wang Chongqiu can be said to have done his best, not only shooting at high altitude, but also stepping on a tricycle to shoot in circles, and even digging pits and burying them underground to shoot, no matter how many difficulties he encountered during this period, Wang Chongqiu never gave up, and never complained.
Yang Jie saw that her husband worked so hard, so she naturally had to persevere, no matter what difficulties she encountered, she would not be easily discouraged, let alone give up.
Therefore, with the joint efforts of Yang Jie and Wang Chongqiu, as well as other actors and staff, the filming of "Journey to the West" was completed and became a classic that cannot be surpassed so far.
On April 15, 2017, Yang Jie died in Beijing at the age of 88 due to ineffective treatment for heart disease. Yang Jie's departure seemed to have taken away half of Wang Chongqiu's soul, but even if he was very sad, he would live well, because he knew that this was what Yang Jie wanted to see the most.
Wang Chongqiu once said: "If there is a next life, I am still willing to marry her, and I am willing to be a camera for Yang Jie." ”
