On July 4, 2024, the 2024 China Annual Meeting, hosted by the South China Morning Post (SCMP), was held at the Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel. The Center for Globalization (CCG) is one of the think tank supporters of the China Annual Meeting, and CCG Chairman Wang Huiyao attended the conference and shared insights on the complexity of China's economic transformation, investment opportunities and technological progress in the opening session.

In the opening session of the China Annual Meeting, Catherine SO, CEO of the South China Morning Post, delivered a welcome speech. Phill WITHERINGTON, President and CEO of Manulife Asia, and John Lee, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, delivered opening remarks and keynote speeches respectively.
