A relative of one of the victims told reporters that one of the men who was swept away was his nephew. In his impression, the nephew could swim. At about 8 o'clock in the morning of the 7th, the body of the nephew was found, and the body of another person was found two hours earlier.

It has been the 10th day since "4 people lost contact with diving".
Two people remain unfounded

On the morning of July 3, Shanwei officials reported that a person with no vital signs was found, and after being rescued ashore, it was confirmed that it was the body of one of the missing group members. Beware of the invisible "killer" by the sea
They were swept into the sea for something
It's hard to trace back now
But according to statistics
About 90% of seaside drowning
It is caused by offshore currents
See!
That's it

Invisible "killer" by the sea
What is Offshore Current?
Rip currents are strong and narrow seawater movements near shore. It flows towards the ocean and perpendicular to the beach and usually does not last long. Due to the large volume of water and the narrowness of the current, the current velocity of the shore can reach speeds of up to 2 m/s – enough to push an adult into the depths of the ocean in a short period of time.

The national emergency radio has reminded that even if he is an Olympic swimming champion, he is likely to die in the rip current.
Rip currents can occur suddenly when people are unsuspecting and can occur in any weather conditions. It can be found on many types of beaches, and unlike waves that make a loud noise due to violent impact, offshore currents do not attract attention until a person is caught in them.
How to identify offshore currents?
Color: Darker than the surroundings
If you see a break between two white sprays of calm water, and the color is darker than the surrounding area, it is likely that the rip current is occurring.
Because the direction of the offshore current is from the shore to the deep sea, it often carries a large amount of sediment, and because it is a deeper current, the color may be different from that of the surrounding water bodies.
Look at the form: a beam of narrow and strong currents
A continuous white spray was surging towards the shore, and a fault suddenly appeared in the middle, as if it had been "cut" from the middle by a green "sword".
In addition, the offshore current is usually a narrow and powerful stream of water with a beam of only a few meters wide.
Look at the location: the terrain is lower than the sides
On the seaside, where offshore currents occur, the seabed is often lower than on both sides.
Look at the movement: sometimes turbulent and sometimes calm
Sometimes, there is more foam in the rip current and it looks more turbulent;
Most of the time, like a quiet gap in the waves, the current looks calm, as if there is no danger;
But whether it's calm or turbulent, if you see a water that is completely different from the surrounding water, quickly go ashore and stay away.

"Taken" away by the rip current
Don't rush to shore!
According to the National Weather Service (NWS):
When encountering an offshore current, swimmers should first not try to struggle with it and try to swim against it, but should first drift along the shore current, drift to a certain distance, and then swim back sideways in a direction parallel to the shore.
During the process, be sure to stay calm, head up, and shout for help.
Someone drowned in the sea
Don't rush into the water, you can "save from the shore" in 4 steps
Once someone is found drowning
Don't rush into the water
On the shore, it is equally possible to "effectively" save people
call
Call out loud, get the attention of those around you, ask for help.
beat
At the same time, call 110, 119 and other police and rescue calls.
Shin
If there are bamboo poles, branches, clothing, etc., you can extend it to the drowning person, but pay attention to your safe position to avoid being dragged into the water.
throw
Float objects such as foam blocks, lifebuoys, and sealed plastic buckets are thrown at the drowning victim to help them float on the surface of the water and wait for rescue.

Multi-departmental
Issue a special reminder of "drowning prevention".
This is because the number of citizens who go to the sea to play is gradually increasing
Recently, a number of departments have also issued
"Drowning prevention" special reminder
Real drowning is silent and fast, the golden time to rescue the drowning person is 30 seconds after the incident, if the signs of drowning can be detected in time, life may be saved!
Therefore, safety education cannot be relaxed, and parents should always remind their children:
It is not allowed to enter the water without permission;
Do not swim with others without permission;
Do not swim without parent and teacher guidance;
Do not swim in waters without safety facilities and rescue personnel;
Do not swim in unfamiliar waters;
Students who are not familiar with the nature of water are not allowed to go into the water to rescue them.
Wang Zhenhai, head of the Agriculture, Forestry and Water Affairs Department of the Kwai Chung Office in Dapeng New District, said that when playing, it is necessary to abide by safety regulations, do not enter dangerous areas without authorization, do not dive at will, etc., and be equipped with life-saving equipment when necessary. When you are outdoors in water, you should pay attention to the weather changes and master the knowledge of self-rescue and mutual rescue.
Shenzhen Maritime Safety Administration:
Do not take off your life jacket during the cruise
The Shenzhen Maritime Safety Bureau and the Shenzhen Maritime Search and Rescue Center also reminded the general public to refuse to take overloaded ships when taking boats and sea fishing; When boarding, you must wear a life jacket correctly according to the requirements, and do not take off the life jacket at will during the boat. Ships are prone to shaking and jolting when sailing at sea, and passengers should not run, jump, walk, lean out and make dangerous movements at will.
Luo Leadwu, deputy director of the command center of the Daya Bay Maritime Safety Bureau, said: "The maritime department here reminds the general public and tourists that please choose the right time to go to sea, and try not to do it at night and when the weather is bad. When going out to sea to board the ship, please choose to board the ship at the official boarding point, and choose a ship in good condition and complete fire and lifesaving equipment. Playing at sea is risky, in case of sudden emergency, please call the sea distress number 12395 in time. ”
