A few days ago, Chevrolet released a set of official images of the Corvette Red Flame special edition model. It is understood that the car is exclusively for the Japanese market and is limited to 40 units, including 20 hardtop and 20 convertibles. Among them, the starting price of the hardtop version is 17.4 million yen (about 787,000 yuan), and the convertible version is 18.9 million yen (about 855,000 yuan), and deliveries will begin in September this year.
From the outside, the new car is available in Red Matte Metallic and Anthracite Metallic. The red matte metallic finish features two parallel lattices running from the front to the rear, and features blacked-out wheels and red brake calipers for a racing feel. The Anthracite Metallic variant has intricate grey wheels and red brake calipers. In addition, the coupé version is equipped with a transparent bonnet.
Inside, the new car is available in two interior colours: light brown and red. Since it is a model exclusively for the Japanese market, the car has a right-hand drive layout. In addition, the new car is equipped with bucket sports seats, which maintain a certain level of comfort while ensuring lateral support.
In terms of power, the Chevrolet Corvette Red Flame Special Edition is equipped with a mid-mounted 6.2-liter V8 naturally aspirated engine with a maximum power of 369 kW and a peak torque of 637 Nm, and the transmission system is mated to an 8-speed wet dual-clutch transmission.
