Li Yan, alias Qingyun, is a native of Yan'an, Shaanxi. He studied in Liaoning and later graduated from Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts, where he studied under the famous painter Mr. Zhang Zhiguang. Member of Shaanxi Artists Association.

Inspired by them, Li Yan learned to paint. Painting mountains, water, flowers and birds; Fang four years, still in the creation of the period of imitation. Although it is said that "learning from it and getting it from it", it has already revealed its talent.
If you want to become a painter, you can't do without three elements: talent, basic skills, and knowledge.
Among the three elements, talent is the first. That is, Confucius said, "Those who are born to know are also superior; Those who learn and know will also be the next time".
Whether there is any talent, Li Yan may not know herself. However, in a large number of landscape works that she has copied in recent years, there is a kind of northern measurement and sensitivity to ink color, and the two are intertwined behind her sometimes naïve and sometimes simple brushstrokes. Although Huang Binhong said "fifty years of pen and ink kung fu", four to fifty, there is a long way to go! Dong Qichang said again, "Reading 10,000 books and traveling 10,000 miles is also a lifelong practice", but she is not afraid of the road and enjoys it. What is certain is that with the deepening of her skills and knowledge, her talent, once she has a solid and profound carrier, will eventually emit dazzling color!
