40+ life change tracks, a journey with no way back, romantic but can you afford it?

Last year was my most anxious year, my son was in the second year of junior high school, he studied unconsciously, his grades dropped significantly, and he became rebellious and disobedient, he loved to lock himself in his room, although he didn't have the idea of running away from home at every turn, but he was emotionally unstable. My daughter is in the first grade of primary school, and there is no "extra meal" in kindergarten, and she can't keep up as soon as she goes to school, pinyin, mathematics, and English when it comes to dictation or testing, either B or C, which is really a headache.

On the other hand, the domestic economy continued to decline, my husband's second-hand car business in China shrank more and more, and new energy vehicles dominated the market, and finally had to close the store.

When we reach middle age, we are already 40 years old, and we want to find another way.

YQ In the past, the country reopened, New Zealand friends returned to China, they talked about life in New Zealand, simple and plain, the benefits of part-time work are good, and the two couples can live a very nourishing life by doing ordinary work. Coupled with New Zealand's open education, it is a completely new attempt for children, and it may be a good change.

So we decided to change the track of our lives and start over in New Zealand in the year of confusion.

‬换道新西兰,一场没有退路的旅途

In March last year, I started looking for a job on various platforms in New Zealand, and finally found it in June, and started to apply for a work visa while dealing with domestic affairs.

The house was rented, the car was sold, the two children withdrew from school, and the cram school interest class was slowly stopped. My son used to be in a good city key middle school, and the teacher said that after dropping out, he could not come back to this school, and if he wanted to return to China to study in the future, he would have to find a new school. Moreover, if the child has been "happy education" abroad for a few years, and wants to return to China to study, there is no doubt that he will not be able to keep up.

My husband's second-hand car business was transferred, and he stopped going to work and began to learn English every day. At this age, let alone leaving China, it is not easy to resign and find a job, and it is basically impossible to have a chance to turn around after leaving China for a few years and then returning to China.

Whether it is for adults or children, our departure this time must be a journey with no way back, and there is no way to return to China if we regret it.

‬在新西兰的浪漫生活?

My family went to New Zealand 8 years ago and I fell in love with the country. There are few people, there is no complicated social circle, the air is fresh, the scenery is beautiful, and it is one of the purest countries in the world.

It's a blockbuster to shoot here, and every day is like living in the landscape, which is extremely romantic. But romance can't be eaten, finding a job here is the right way.

I was lucky enough to find a blue-collar job in B&B management and cleaning, and I didn't need my skills to do it. My husband has always been dealing with cars in China, and he has no English foundation, what kind of work can he do when he comes to New Zealand? After thinking about it, he could probably only be a truck driver, and he could talk less and do more, so he began to "practice" truck skills, learn to drive large goods, drive trailers, and so on.

The first thing he did when he came to New Zealand was to apply for a truck driver's license, because he had a B license in China, and he took a written test (Chinese) here, and then a simple road test. Because of his lack of confidence, Mr. handed over 2,000 dollars to a Chinese truck driving school, including study, practice and exams, and finally passed the test twice.

In New Zealand, real life is not romantic, it is also firewood, rice, oil, salt and rent, but I don't have to worry about work after work, I can enjoy family life, this is my ideal life.

However, this kind of "romance" with no way out, are you willing to bear it?
