Recently, a few friends asked me about the IPTV single-line multiplexing solution, and I will summarize it for you!
It is summarized in the following table:
In some regions, the operator's optical modem cannot implement the IPTV single-line multiplexing function because it can only transmit Internet access data through the Gigabit port and IPTV service data through the iTV port.
- Therefore, you must first configure the modem in VLAN mode, that is, the VLAN mode multiplexing port in the preceding table.
- In areas such as Shanghai Telecom, the optical modem itself is already fully multiplexed, and no additional configuration is required.
Configure the modem as a multiplexing port
For example, the modem configuration:
Step 1: Log in to the background with the super administrator account and password (please search online according to the brand model, such as Guangdong Telecom account password: telecomadmin nE7jA%5m)
Step 2: Unbind the Internet channel port, and cancel all network ports:
Step 3: Cancel the binding relationship between the IPTV channel service and the iTV port
Step 4: On the VLAN Bindings page, bind the Internet channel service and IPTV channel service to the same network port 1
Finally, the IPTV multiplexing mode of the network port of the optical modem is configured, that is, the Internet access service does not have a VLAN tag, and the IPTV service interacts with the WAN port of the attached router with a tag, so that IPTV and Internet access can be transmitted simultaneously through a network cable.
Configure single-line multiplexing of routers and switches
After completing the single-line multiplexing function of the optical modem, here is a simple solution.
[Solution] Multiplexed port of the optical modem VLAN modem
Solution 1: VLANs are configured on the switch to distinguish between WAN, LAN, and IPTV data for reuse
Solution 2: Bind the network port of the panel AP to a VLAN to transparently transmit IPTV data to distinguish wireless Internet access
[Solution] full multiplexing port
Solution 1: VLAN is configured on the switch to isolate WAN, LAN, and IPTV data for reuse
Solution 2: Configure the QinQ interface to fully transparently transmit data from the set-top box and the optical modem multiplexing port
