Since its submission in May 2024, the Manhua Qingdun Creation Competition, sponsored by the Cyberspace Administration of the Nantong Municipal Party Committee, has received enthusiastic support and active participation from some domestic literature lovers, and some authors have completed their submissions.

In order to effectively promote cultural inheritance and cultural continuity, enrich the content of international communication on the Internet, vividly present the legendary story of the origin of Nantong's urban civilization, and carry forward the cultural spirit that transcends time and space and has contemporary value, the Cyberspace Administration of the Nantong Municipal Party Committee is now launching the Mantra Qingdun Creation Contest for the whole society.
PART.01
Background of creation
This is a magical land where the Yangtze River, the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea meet affectionately; This is an ancient land, 6,000 years ago, there were ancestors living in the northwest of here; This is a young land, in the many parallels between the continent and the sandbar, the river and sea plains continue to expand, and the southeast part of the land has only been a hundred years old. More than 6,000 years ago, on the north side of the ancient Yangtze River estuary, the Hai'an area in the north of the current Nantong began to form land, giving birth to the dazzling Qingdun culture in the history of Yangtze River civilization. The Qingdun site is praised by archaeological experts as "the Hemudu of Jiangsu" and "the holy place in the heart". Archaeological findings show that the Qingdun site has a long time and space depth, from the matrilineal clan to the patrilineal clan social stage, and then to the separation of handicraft producers. In the face of the waves of the river and sea, the erosion of wind and rain diseases, the attack of ferocious animals, especially the lack of food, how did the ancient people of Qingdun survive? What are the stories of clans, tribes, tribal alliances, and evolving organizations? In the struggle against nature, will there be heroes? What is the use of the rich cultural relics excavated...... Through the long and deep time and space, people have left an incomparably rich space for imagination.
Proven 20,000 square meters of Qingdun ruins only excavated 500 square meters of exploration in the excavation of a large number of cultural relics, archaeological experts listed a number of Qingdun cultural achievements of the first: the first axe in China, the first hexagram in the East, the quintile circle example, antler boomerang, carbonized rice, etc., through these ancient cultural relics, we seem to see a vivid scene: in the long years of ancient times, the ancient people of Qingdun with primitive and crude tools, the blue wisps of the road, self-improvement, with the arms of the green tendons, difficult to promote the giant wheel of human history, creating a glorious ancient civilization in the land of rivers and seas. They germinate and perpetuate the rich emotions of human beings, and reproduce offspring in symbiosis with nature. Industriousness, bravery, and wisdom are the enduring traits that have been passed down from generation to generation of Chinese sons and daughters.

PART.03
Call for Papers:
(1) Creation category. Qingdun cultural background virtual novels, stories or scripts. Characters, clans, tribes, excavated artifacts and other elements are vividly connected. A work can be a collection of multiple short stories, or it can be a whole long story.
(2) The context of the work. The context of the work must conform to the basic academic conclusions of the existing archaeological community on the form of primitive society (clan society), combined with the individual discoveries of Qingdun cultural archaeology. On the whole, it reflects the atmosphere of exploration in ancient times, supplemented by the refined charm of modern communication languages. The plot is moderately twisty, lively and witty, and enlightening.
(3) Space requirements. The whole article is about 15,000-20,000 words. It will be completed in two phases. In the open call stage, only the first 5,000 words or so need to be provided. There is no limit to the number of words for those who participate in the election with an independent short story, but the 1st-3rd place is generally not considered. Those who create a series of short stories will be evaluated on the same basis as long stories. After the final author is selected from the solicitation of works, the follow-up creation is completed.

Awards
1st place, manuscript fee of 10,000 yuan; 2nd place, manuscript fee of 5,000 yuan; 3rd place, manuscript fee of 3,000 yuan; 4th~15th place, the manuscript fee is 1000 yuan (the manuscript fee is before tax). Winners will be awarded honorary certificates. The number of awards will be adjusted according to the submission.

Inclusion benefits
For the selected works, the organizer can modify and absorb them and develop them into relevant communication products, and generally no additional remuneration will be paid. Relevant manuscripts enjoy the following rights:
(1) The rights and interests of the first selected author to continue to create.
(1) After expert evaluation, if the first manuscript is suitable for independent development, it will continue to be created. After the creation is completed, another 15,000 yuan will be paid.
(2) If the author continues to develop and produce public publications such as books, as well as communication works such as videos and small films, the author has the right of authorship.
(3) If the development continues, relevant ideas can be appropriately absorbed from other shortlisted works. The original author of the manuscript idea involved in the absorption is generally no longer listed separately, and the published book will be considered for listing in the relevant section.
(2) The rights and interests of other shortlisted authors.
If the first shortlisted work does not have the conditions for independent development, it is planned to consider combing and processing the shortlisted works and creating and publishing them in the form of a series of short stories or making them into related communication products. If implemented, all shortlisted authors will be listed separately according to the story, and those who make it into a book and publish it will be appropriately paid a certain remuneration.
