1. Foreword: In the face of high-speed use needs, Langke launched a maximum of 1TB dual-interface solid-state U disk
Many people may not know that the inventor of the USB flash drive (USB disk) is a Chinese company, which is called Langke, which is quite remarkable in the history of computers.
In recent years, the business line of Langke is quite rich, SSD, memory cards, etc. are remarkable, and the USB flash drive as the foundation is also continuing to evolve.
In terms of mobile storage, due to the demand for large capacity and high speed, mobile SSD products continue to emerge, and the price is relatively affordable, but the disadvantages are also obvious: the physical size is large, the carrying is inconvenient, the heating is more obvious, and the data cable and other problems must be considered.
In order to meet the needs of portability and high-performance storage at the same time, Langke recently launched a new US9 solid-state USB flash drive. This product perfectly combines the advantages of small size, large capacity and high speed.
The US9 SSB provides 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB capacities to meet the needs of different users, and the USB 3.2 Gen2 interface can achieve a maximum read speed of 1000MB/s and a write speed of 920MB/s to ensure fast and efficient data transfer.
In terms of compatibility, it provides both USB Type-C and USB Type-A interfaces, which can easily connect to different devices such as desktop PCs, TVs, mobile phones, and laptops to meet the needs of design and editing, travel outdoor, photography, game warehouses and other scenarios.
We got the 1TB capacity of the Langke US9 solid-state USB flash drive, and then let's test it to see how it performs.
2. Appearance: The supercar shape zinc alloy fuselage has a good texture, and the dual ports meet the needs of multiple scenarios
The front and back of the outer packaging of the US9 solid-state USB flash drive briefly introduces the transmission rate, support specifications and interfaces.
The front and back sides of the US9 solid-state USB flash drive are made of zinc alloy with a supercar shape, highlighting the sense of speed of this product, and at the same time taking into account the quality and appearance.
The overall size is 82×23×10mm, and the 1TB version weighs about 48.5g.
This solid-state USB flash drive has a dual-port design, with USB Type-A on one side and USB Type-C on the other, both of which support USB 3.2 Gen2 rates up to the maximum.
Among them, the USB-A port adopts a design similar to the hood of a sports car, which is very convenient to open and close magnetically, preventing problems such as hair loss and scratching, making it more convenient to use.
The package also comes with a leather case clip for a solid-state USB flash drive, which is easy to carry and not easy to lose.
三、速度测试:顺序读取1064MB/s、写入980MB/s
The evaluation platform is as follows:
According to CrystalDiskInfo, the US9 solid-state USB flash drive is based on the UASP protocol, which is a transmission protocol developed by the USB-IF organization to connect serial devices through the USB interface, which can increase the transmission speed of large-capacity storage devices by 20% and reduce CPU utilization, data latency and waiting time.
In other aspects, the US9 solid-state USB flash drive also supports S.M.A.R.T., NCQ, TRIM, GPL functions, with an allocable space of 931GB, and the file system format is exFAT by default.
1、CrystalDiskMark
In the CrystalDiskMark test, in the 1GB and 64GB tests of the US9 solid-state USB flash drive, the sequential read/write results are 1064MB/s and 980MB/s respectively, and the results of the two are not much different.
1GB测试中,4K随机读写速度分别为33.42MB/s、79.18MB/s。
However, the 4K random read and write speed of the 64GB test exceeded the performance of this product, which is not normal, and I suspect that the test software compatibility problem.
2、ATTO Disk Benchmark
In the ATTO Disk Benchmark test, four queues were selected to test it in depth, and the read and write of 0.5KB small files can provide 13 MB/s write and 11.6 MB/s read.
Starting at 512KB, the speed is stable at at least 920MB/s write and 1000MB/s read.
3、HD Tune文件基准
In HD Tune Pro, we used the file benchmark function to test the SLC Cache performance of the US9 solid-state USB flash drive, with a maximum file length of 300GB.
During the whole test, before writing 250GB of data (orange line), the maximum of the US9 solid-state USB flash drive is about 920GB/s, and then it drops to about 50MB/s, which means that the SLC cache is about 250GB.
The read speed (blue line) can be maintained at 1000MB/s throughout the entire process, which is very stable.
4. 3DMark storage benchmark
The 3DMark Storage Benchmark is a real-world test of real-world performance in games, supporting all the latest storage technologies and testing real, real-world gaming performance such as loading games, saving progress, installing game files, and recording game video streams.
The US9 SSB has an overall score of 1055 in the 3DMark storage benchmark, with an average bandwidth of 168.99MB/s and an average access time of 159μs.
Although this result is not as good as an NVMe SSD, it is still much stronger than a traditional USB flash drive, which can fully meet the needs of those who want to use it as a game warehouse.
5. Hardware dogs
Hardware Dog is a professional hardware detection and scoring tool produced by Driver House, which is very suitable for mainstream PC players. Relying on the self-developed algorithm of fast technology, as well as authoritative test modules such as 3DMark, it can quickly, accurately and comprehensively detect the overall configuration of the PC computer, and can conduct a single test on the processor, graphics card, memory and hard disk of the computer to see how well your device performs.
Hardware Dog gave a rating of 6850 to the Langke US9 solid-state U disk, surpassing 43% of users, and the evaluation given is basically enough, but this is the benchmark for desktop SATA SSD and NVMe SSD hard disks.
4. Full-disk, OTG test and temperature: 710MB/s can be maintained within the moderate
- Full testing
The actual capacity of the US9 solid-state USB flash drive is 931GB, and the maximum intelligent SLC cache space is 1/3 of the whole disk.
We're writing 880GB of data to it to see how slow the SSD performs.
Before writing 250GB, the US9 solid-state USB flash drive can maintain a write speed of about 700MB/s, which is relatively flat and does not float much.
After 250GB, the write speed drops sharply, around 50MB/s.
- Mobile OTG
We also conducted an OTG test on the mobile device, using the Xiaomi 14 Pro, which supports USB 3.2 Gen2, with a theoretical speed of up to 10Gbps and a test file size of 6.4GB.
The picture on the left shows the read speed of the Langke US9 solid-state USB flash drive, which can reach 1.1GB/s instantaneously in the boot stage, and then begins to decline gradually, and the speed drops to 35MB/s when writing about halfway, and returns to the normal 350MB/s in the second half, which takes about 20 seconds.
The picture on the right shows the speed of writing files to the US9 solid-state USB flash drive, the speed is relatively stable, and the whole process can be maintained at 350~500MB/s, which takes less than 20 seconds.
——Temperature
The no-load temperature of the US9 solid-state USB flash drive is 36°C, and the maximum temperature is 53°C when reading and writing at high loads.
The maximum surface temperature of the US9 solid-state USB flash drive is 43.1°C, and the temperature sense is still quite obvious, which is also a side effect of high-speed reading and writing.
5. Summary: The small size becomes your portable database The speed is 2 times that of SATA SSD
After the experience, the performance of the US9 solid-state USB flash drive is just like the appearance of its supercar shape, which can bring users the pleasure of extreme speed.
It can eat up the bandwidth limit of the USB 3.2 Gen2 interface, with a read speed of more than 1000MB/s and a write speed of nearly 1000MB/s, which is nearly twice that of a SATA SSD and 10 times faster than a USB 3.0 USB flash drive (100MB/s transfer speed).
The US9 solid-state USB flash drive offers a large capacity of up to 1TB in a similar size to a traditional USB flash drive. Whether it's storing a large game library or movie and TV footage, it can easily do the job, becoming a user's portable database, so that you can say goodbye to capacity anxiety completely.
In terms of compatibility, it adopts a USB Type-C and USB Type-A dual interface design, which is compatible with a wide range of devices, including connecting a mobile phone as external storage for data backup and reading.
In addition, it also supports the Win To GO function, which allows you to install the entire system on a USB flash drive and use your familiar system and environment anytime, anywhere.
Of course, because it is a solid-state USB flash drive, it also has the problem of SSD, and it needs to be noted that when writing files of more than 250GB at a time, it will fall to a slow speed.
If you want a small size, high-speed reading and writing, and high compatibility, then this Langke US9 solid-state USB flash drive is undoubtedly an option worth considering.
