The exhibition invited seven intangible cultural heritage items, including dragon and phoenix cheongsam handicraft skills, Shanghai-style paper-cutting, stone carving, miniature art skills, ink and clay making skills, Gu embroidery, and Songjiang silk screen prints, which are closely related to Shanghai's urban life.
This is Gu embroidery with more than 400 years, is the Ming Dynasty Songjiang Mansion Jinshi Gu Ming family female family creation, development and dissemination, is the only embroidery school in the mainland named after the family, and has been Songjiang Mansion Dong Qichang and a large number of scholars and scholars of the importance and support. Gu embroidery to the needle for the pen, to the line for the ink, to the famous deeds as the blueprint, to the silk thread for the danqing, known as the "painting embroidery", the artistry is very high, the Qing Dynasty four famous embroidery have benefited from the Gu embroidery. Chen Huaqiong, the representative inheritor of Gu embroidery at the district level, told reporters that Gu embroidery mainly has the characteristics of thinness, lightness, transparency and flatness, so it is very suitable for embroidering some famous paintings of Chinese celebrities.
Folk art and intangible cultural heritage skills are the crystallization of wisdom in the development process of people's daily life, which can most intuitively reflect the development of people's living conditions, life scenes and living customs for a long time in the past. Lu Qiwen, secretary general of the Shanghai Folk Literature and Art Association, told reporters that folk art is a treasure of the folk, which is scattered in all aspects of folk life, and some inconspicuous things are also our precious wealth, which is very valuable and has a great taste of life.
During the exhibition, experts from relevant fields also interpreted the development of folk art, so that citizens and tourists could further understand the development of folk art in Shanghai. The organizers said that folk art needs to be seen and understood, so as to continue to tap its value, so as to return to people's lives again, so that the audience can feel the ultimate pursuit and effort of the master craftsmen in the creative process, and feel the huge artistic value behind each work. Li Shoubai, chairman of the Shanghai Folk Literature and Art Association, told reporters, "I hope that through such an immersive exhibition, our platform and channels will be opened up and oriented to the society."
