1. Use the Windows + I shortcut keys to open "Settings", select "System" > "Remote Desktop".
2. Turn on the "Remote Desktop" switch.
3. It is recommended to keep the "Require devices to use network-level authentication to connect (recommended)" setting that is enabled by default.

Method 2: From the Control Panel
1. Use the Windows + R shortcut key to open the "Run" dialog box, and execute control to open the control panel.

Precautions
- Network-level authentication (NLA) can improve security and only need to be turned off if you're using an older version of Windows that doesn't support NLA.
- When the Remote Desktop feature is enabled, the system starts a service called TermService and listens for incoming connections to TCP port 3389. An exception rule is also added to Windows Firewall that allows the port to receive authenticated data.
- If you are using third-party security software, you may need to manually allow TCP port 3389.
- By default, the current user and all user accounts of the Administrators group can remotely connect to the computer.
Connecting to a Remote Desktop (Controller)
Windows 11 comes with the Remote Desktop Connect app that gives you easy access to your remote PC:
1. Use the Windows + R shortcut keys to open the "Run" dialog box, and run mstsc to open the "Remote Desktop Connection" application.
2. In the "Computer" input box, enter the name or IP address of the remote computer.
3. After the input is completed, click the "Connect" button to start connecting to the remote computer.

By default, the remote computer's desktop is displayed in full screen at the same resolution as the client computer.
