In the list of recommended plays, the radio drama "Highland" (4 episodes) in our province is also impressively listed.
It is understood that this exhibition and broadcast 26 radio dramas selected from all over the country, highlighting the theme of celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way, including "The Red Chamber of Peking University" and "Going to Yan'an", a number of plays telling the stories of different periods of the history of the founding of the party in the past hundred years, and plays praising heroic model figures such as "Lin Junde" and "I am waiting for you in Dunhuang", as well as "Daliangshan", which shows the great achievements in poverty alleviation, "The Guardian of Heroes" that praises the spirit of fighting the epidemic, and vividly interprets "The Family of the Chinese Nation" , "Building the Chinese Dream Together" spirit of "Aksu's Pomegranate Red" and other realistic theme radio dramas.
These outstanding radio dramas adopt advanced production and broadcasting technology, use monologues, dialogue, simultaneous sounds, music, live sound effects, etc., to lead the audience to "sound" immersively feel the magnificent century-long journey of the COMMUNIST Party of China, artistically reflect the historic achievements and historic changes that have taken place in various undertakings of the party and the state since the Eighteenth National Congress of the Party, and enthusiastically praise the great achievements of the COMMUNIST Party of China in uniting and leading the people of all nationalities throughout the country to carry out revolution, construction, and reform.
The radio drama "Highland" selected by our province is based on Comrade Xu Zhenming, a "model of the times", and takes the localization of realist themes as the source of creation. It describes the touching story of the protagonist who was not afraid of sacrifice and heroic battle during the war years, adhered to the original intention of the Communist Party members after changing careers, did not be proud of his achievements, and persistently guarded the martyrs' cemetery with faith. From the dimensions of protecting red resources, continuing the red bloodline, and inheriting the red gene, Comrade Xu Zhenming's faith and loyalty, patriotism and dedication, persistence and inheritance as a member of the Chinese Communist Party are displayed.

In October 2020, Jilin Radio and Television Station established the "Model of the Times" Comrade Xu Zhenming's advanced deeds radio drama "Highland" creation group. For more than half a year, the main creative team went to Tonghua, Jilin Province, to interview Comrade Xu Zhenming, the prototype of the character, Xu Zhenming's son Xu Yongjun, his daughter-in-law Yan Xilan, the writer Sun Yanhua of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, and other relevant typical figures, and organized experts in Jilin Province to discuss the topic many times, repeatedly deliberate, and seriously polish, so that the script of the radio drama "Highland" reached a certain height in literature, artistry, and ideology. In May this year, the "Highland" script demonstration meeting was held in Beijing. A number of industry experts and scholars took the pulse of the "Highland" and put forward guidance. The production process of the post-recording and synthesis of the drama adheres to the domestic first-class standard. The work invited the famous domestic director Wang Rui and composer Yu Xiangguo to join the creation, and selected Qu Jingguo, Wu Fengchun, Wang Chenguang, Yan Mengmeng, Jiang Qiuzai, Ren Jie and other first-line actors to serve as actors in China.
