Recently, the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a US think tank, has published an article in the US media, declaring that the US Government will continue to strengthen its armament against Taiwan and take a tough stance against the mainland, so as to prevent the PLA from approaching the 24-nautical-mile airspace over Taiwan. US think tanks have already drawn a red line for China, and at the stage of the fierce game in the US presidential election, the US Republican Party and the US Democratic Party are already "offering advice," and they are obviously actively cooperating with the US foreign strategy. Now the United States is once again hyping up the Taiwan Strait issue, which is a normal state in the US presidential election, and the United States has announced the export of 150 F-16A/B fighter jets to Taiwan during the presidential election to curry favor with US arms dealers, so it is not ruled out that the Biden administration's recent big move in the United States is not ruled out.
In fact, US President Joe Biden has mentioned five times that he will send troops to "protect" the Taiwan island, and for this reason the outside world believes that the United States has given up the ambiguous strategy, but the White House and the Pentagon have reaffirmed the "one-China policy", so the signals released by the Biden administration in the United States are inconsistent. Unlike the White House and the Pentagon, the U.S. State Department openly supports the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) authorities on Taiwan, and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken openly declared that Taiwan is not China's internal affair as early as 2023.
Japan's Nikkei Asia published an article on 2 July, declaring that the US Republican Party and the US Democratic Party are in agreement on their stance of supporting Taiwan, but they have different opinions on whether to adhere to strategic ambiguity, including how to express it. Since the beginning of the 21st century, when the United States has encircled and contained China, it has constantly used the "Taiwan card" to try to put pressure on China, and at the same time, it is also one of the evil strategies to prevent China's rise, so it has frequently launched provocations on the Taiwan Strait issue.
With the continuous improvement of China's comprehensive strength, more and more think tanks have asked Washington to give a clear statement, so there are remarks that US President Biden sent troops to "protect" Taiwan, but there are different opinions within the White House, thus presenting the contradictory statements of the US Democratic administration. The former White House national security adviser has publicly criticized the Biden administration, claiming that Biden's aides do not agree with Biden's approach, and will withdraw Biden's tough statement for this reason. Due to the fierce game between Trump and Biden, it is very likely that Trump has extreme ideas and strategies, which should be vigilant.
Lauren Dickey, an expert at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a U.S. think tank, said that the United States has not yet entered the stage of strategic clarity, and is only discussing relevant issues, and in the context of Trump's very likely re-entry into the White House, U.S. think tank experts believe that China is actually not afraid of Biden today, so Trump's statement is quite critical. When Trump took office as president of the United States, he openly launched provocations on the Taiwan Strait issue, and then US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo tried to visit Taiwan, thus reflecting the Trump administration's support for the DPP authorities on Taiwan, while Biden's approach was to try to put pressure on China through joint actions by US allies and the United States, so as to maintain the so-called "status quo in the Taiwan Strait".
