Today, I will lead you into the old house located at No. 11, Lane 485, Fuxing Middle Road - an old house that "held three weddings" (the former site of the Shanghai Bureau of the Communist Party of China's Counter-Terrorism Committee......
On the special front of the party, there are always countless legends. Located at No. 11, Lane 485, Fuxing Middle Road, there is such a revolutionary couple, and the wedding has been held as many as three times.
In November 1948, the three major battles were all completed, and the Kuomintang government was like a cicada after the autumn, and there was no power to return to heaven. The Shanghai Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has set up a special body, the "Committee for Counter-Terrorism." Through various frequent public relations actions, it spent more than half a year to plot a large number of Kuomintang backbones, which was comparable to 100,000 male soldiers. The most famous, such as the 3rd Regiment of the Kuomintang Paratroopers and the Chongqing Naval Uprising, made great contributions to the Battle of Crossing the River and the liberation of Shanghai. What is extremely legendary is that the rebel committee has never been exposed.
The reason why a legend is called a legend is that it is difficult to do. It was the pre-dawn darkness at that time, the most dangerous time for all the underground parties in the Kuomintang area, and the Kuomintang reactionaries were in a state of hysteria. Li Bai and Qin Hongjun, the prototypes of the protagonists of the movie "The Eternal Wave", were arrested and killed before the liberation of Shanghai. But this rebellion committee has never been exposed, the difficulty is very high, it is really a miracle.
The couple is Zhang Chaojie and Ye Peiyi, and their "wedding room" is located at No. 487 Fuxing Middle Road (the current address is Lane 485 Fuxing Middle Road). Sandwiched between the high-end residential community of Wan Yi Place and Lu Ban Apartment (now known as Chongqing Apartment), the apartment is perfect for concealed work.
After they moved in, they had their first wedding. The first wedding was actually in the name of the wedding, bringing together the comrades of the relevant counter-terrorism committees for a meeting. The name of a wedding is obviously safer than a meeting.

Soon after, they had a second wedding. This time, they invited their classmates to participate and announced that they would leave Shanghai for a long honeymoon trip in the near future. This was mainly to create proof of long-term absence from Shanghai, and the wedding was held in a hotel on Yan'an West Road. For a long time after that, they cut off all activities in their circle of friends and concentrated on the work of rebellion. It can be said that it is very ingenious.
The last wedding was held in Yanyun Building, Nanjing Road, and this time it was his parents who participated, and it was his own wedding in the real sense.
It wasn't until May 26, 1949, the day after the liberation of Shanghai, that Zhang Chaojie and Ye Peiyi took a letter of introduction and reported to the Military Management Committee on Hankou Road in Middle Sichuan.
In this way, Zhang Chaojie and Ye Peiyi held three weddings in half a year for the work of the party's secret front, and created a public relations miracle that was better than 100,000 soldiers.
What is valuable about Zhang Chaojie lies in the timing of his participation in the revolution. Zhang Chaojie's sister Fang Si (formerly known as Zhang Chaosu) joined the New Fourth Army very early and has never been known for her life or death. In 1944, a year before the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, he returned to Shanghai, contacted them, and guided Zhang Chaojie to engage in revolutionary struggle and join the Communist Party. Zhang Chaojie's brother-in-law, that is, Tian Yunqiao, is Zhang Chaojie's direct superior.

In fact, it took great courage to join the Communist Party at this time, because the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression was about to be won, and almost no one thought that the Communist Party would win the final victory. So, the couple is quite remarkable. Wandering in this quiet and good time, these ancestors who have made great contributions to the victory of the Chinese revolution are very worthy of our admiration, and it is worth listening to their stories with our hearts.
