Cui Shoulan, born in 1923 in a poor peasant family in Cuijiagoutou Village, Lingquan Township, Junan County, Shandong Province, the old revolutionary base area, since the age of 14, she has participated in the Anti-Japanese Vanguard, the Women's Rescue Association, the Agricultural Rescue Association and other organizations, and served as the president of the Women's Rescue Association, mainly responsible for serving as a guide for the troops, delivering ammunition, washing military clothes, making military shoes, taking care of the wounded of the Eighth Route Army, and assisting the troops in transmitting intelligence. In order to ensure the needs of the battle, Cui Shoulan led the front personnel to risk sacrifice and take the method of carrying ammunition and other materials to the forward position by carrying them on their backs, shoulders, and two people. Due to his outstanding work, he was rated as a "model of support". On February 1, 1944, Cui Shoulan, who was only 20 years old, secretly joined the party organization and became an honorable Communist Party member. After joining the party, she became more active in the work of the front, and she dedicated her youth to the party.

Cui Shoulan's husband joined the army in 1937, participated in many battles, was injured twice, and was unfortunately hit in the right arm by the enemy's bullet for the last time, resulting in the amputation of the right arm, and applied for retirement in 1948, when the organization had assigned a job to Cui Shoulan, but due to family reasons, she decisively gave up her job, returned to her home to farm without hesitation, and took on the responsibility of taking care of her mother-in-law and husband. In that era of lack of food and clothing, Cui Shoulan had to raise 9 children, in order to make a living, she got up early and greedy for darkness, and got up before dawn to work in the field. After dinner, go to the brigade for a meeting to mediate neighborhood disputes; After finishing their work and waiting for the children to fall asleep, they would weave cloth or sew shabby clothes and pants under the dim kerosene lamp. She picked up the burden of life with her weak shoulders, and never opened her mouth or stretched out her hand to the party and the country. She educates the next generation with practical actions and guides the growth of the next generation with good qualities. In her big family, 9 people have joined the army and 10 have joined the party, although their professions are different, they all follow the example of their parents, and in different positions, they are loyal to the party and fulfill their duties for the people.

After following her husband back to Dongshengfo Village, Cui Shoulan was elected as the women's director and the village mediation committee.
