Wang Lan stressed that it is necessary to implement the national strategy of actively responding to the aging of the population, integrate the concept of positive aging and healthy aging into the whole process of economic and social development, and continuously improve the old-age service system that coordinates home community institutions and combines medical and health care. Fully grasp the elderly service needs of the elderly in Changning, continuously enhance service supply, improve service functions, improve service quality, vigorously develop community embedded old-age care, continue to promote aging transformation, and better meet the needs of differentiated and high-quality old-age care.
Wang Lan pointed out that it is necessary to vigorously carry forward the traditional virtues of filial piety and respect for the elderly, care for the elderly, and do a good job in old-age services with heart and affection. According to statistics, as of the end of 2020, there were 224,200 registered elderly people in the whole district, accounting for about 39.1% of the registered population; 39,900 elderly people aged 80 and above, accounting for 17.8% of the registered elderly population, ranking second in the city. In order to actively cope with the actual situation of population aging, since 2018, Changning District has taken the second batch of national home and community pension service reform pilots as an opportunity to improve the "high-quality + balanced" pension service system. At present, there are 37 old-age care institutions in the district, 16 elderly care homes, 6635 approved old-age beds, and 4400 elderly people; 658 home and community old-age service facilities, basically forming a community embedded old-age service system of "one center, multiple outlets, and full coverage".
