On the afternoon of June 29th, the Bund Street New Era Civilization Practice Sub-center and Baotong Primary School jointly held a family style and family motto theme activity called "Serving the Country, Standing as a Child". This activity not only brought a vivid moral education lesson to the community families, but also an in-depth study and inheritance of red history and culture.
At the beginning of the event, through the video display and the wonderful performance of the students of the school's red drama club, the audience was able to travel through time and space and relive the glorious history of Baotong Primary School in the past 86 years since its establishment. It witnesses the revolutionary spirit of the newsboy people who have the courage to sacrifice in the face of strong enemies, and also shows the red gene passed down from generation to generation in the newsboy primary school.
Subsequently, the Shanghai Puppet Theatre Troupe brought a wonderful puppet musical "The Voice of the Newsboy" to everyone. Set in 1949 in Shanghai, which was about to be liberated, this musical tells the story of a group of street children who make a living by selling newspapers, under the guidance of Ai Kexin, a young Communist Party member at the newspaper boy school, learn revolutionary songs and cultural knowledge, and finally embark on the revolutionary road. The little newspaper boys showed their wit and courage in the play, delivered intelligence for the underground party, explored the enemy's situation, and made special contributions to the liberation of Shanghai.
"Home is the smallest country, and the country is tens of millions". This event is not only a review of the history and culture of red, but also a promotion and inheritance of family style and family motto. The Bund Street New Era Civilization Practice Sub-center hopes to guide community residents to carry forward good family style, inherit good family mottos, and form a good atmosphere of focusing on family, family education, and family style.
