Knowing its male, guarding its female, is the world's xiaxia (xī). For the sake of the world, Changde is inseparable, and returns to the baby.

Know its white, keep its black, for the world style. For the tianxia style, Changde Bu Ti (tè), returned to Wuji.

Know its glory, keep its humiliation, and be the valley of the world. For the valley of the world, Changde is foot, and returns to Park.

Pu San is an instrument, and if a saint uses it, he is an official, so the great system is not cut.

<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" > translation</h1>

He knows that he dominates the world, but he keeps the feminine and soft, and is willing to be the stream of the world. By making a stream, eternal morality will not be far away, and thus return to the innocent state of the newborn baby.

He knows what light is (of a prominent position), but he is willing to dwell in the darkness of the world, and is willing to be an example for the world. By setting an example for the world, eternal morality will not go wrong, and thus return to a state of no beginning and no end.

He knows what glory is, but he lives in a humble position and is willing to be in the valley of the world. In the valley of the world, the eternal virtue will be sufficient and perfect, and thus return to the state of chaos and simplicity (simplicity).

Simplicity is scattered into fragments, incarnated into all things, and becomes the instruments of the world, and the saints exert their strengths and become administrators.

Therefore, the perfect system is self-contained and inseparable.

<h1 class = "pgc-h-arrow-right" > insight: keeping the female</h1>

Lao Tzu seems to like the concept of "Eru Kegang", water, babies, females, these seemingly weak things, have been used as a metaphor by him. Although there is no place in this chapter that writes the word "soft", we can still see Lao Tzu's theory of "keeping soft" through "keeping its female", "returning to the baby", "being the world's son", and "for the valley of the world". Reading through the eighty-one chapters of the Tao Te Ching, there are many mentions, which can be said to be the consistent thinking of the Tao Te Ching. Here's an example:

Dedicated and soft, can baby care? ...... The gate of heaven is open, can it be for the female? - Chapter X

Weak is stronger than strong. - Thirty-six chapters

The world is soft, and the world is strong. - Forty-three chapters

See Xiao Yue Ming, Shou Rou Yue Qiang. - Fifty-two chapters

Weak bones and tendons are soft and firm. - Fifty-five chapters

Man's life is also weak, and his death is also strong. ...... Where the strong is down, where the weakness is up. - Seventy-six chapters

The world is weaker than water, and the strong Mo can win, and it is not easy to overcome. The weak win over the strong, the soft wins the strong, the world does not know, can not do. - Seventy-eight chapters

"Know the male and the female, know the white and keep the black, and know the glory and the humiliation." Again, there are three classic dialectics, layer by layer, and although the words are short, they have a deep meaning. and the seventh chapter of "chapter eight". The thrust of "Chapter XIII" is exactly the same.

I still summarize from the aspect of dealing with people, people should still be humble and low-key. The more people who understand, the more humble they are. The more humble people are, the more they will introspect, the more they can find their own shortcomings, and then they know more, and they also know that there are more and more things they don't understand...

Then don't fight with people, how about winning? If it is fast for a while, the other party will not be convinced, make a comeback, fight over when to rest, and when will the wrongs be repaid. Suffering losses is a blessing, knowing the male and the female.

Although there is a saying that reason is not clear, but pay attention, it is not a "dispute", Zhuangzi and Keiko have always been afraid of each other, but they do not seek benefits, but are bent on seeking the Tao.

From "knowing the male and guarding the female" to "knowing the movement and keeping quiet", have you found that the people who seem to be arrogant in their daily lives are actually mostly paper tigers. Speaking loudly and forcing oneself out of one's head is just a camouflage mask for fear of being looked down upon.

It is undoubtedly unwise to like bluff and self-expression, and it is said that the self-seeer is unknown (chapter 24). On the contrary, those who are low-key and humble and easily overlooked can eventually achieve great things.

The last sentence reads, "If the simplicity is a vessel, and if the saint uses it, it is an official, so the great system is not cut." "I actually didn't understand much, I read a lot of notes, but they were not translated very well, and the more I read, the more I didn't understand." I don't want to dwell on it now, I don't know how to put it first, and I will understand it when I understand it.

The reason why the Tao Te Ching is suitable for repeated enlightenment is that the whole world is guessing its meaning and dismantling its truth. Someone cuts the word, someone cuts the reason. So far no one has a solution.

"Enlightenment" is a momentary thing, when you eat, when you go to the toilet, it is possible to realize some truths that have bothered you for a long time, if you need to work very hard to realize a certain truth, it is not necessary.

【Supplement】Taoists advocate "female softness" and "inaction", Confucianism advocates "masculinity" and "promising", and the two ways of thinking complement each other, one reflects the masculine side of being proactive and courageous, and the other advocates the feminine side of being cautious and introverted, modest and tolerant. The two are strong and soft, which together create the "tenacity" of the Chinese nation and reflect the maturity of national thinking. It can also be said.
