The greenery of the city and the taste of life

In the bustling city of Wenzhou, the pace of life in the factory is always breathless. Busy between machines and noise every day, it seems to be getting farther and farther away from nature. However, in the midst of this hustle and bustle, I found a little place of my own – the small vegetable garden at the back of the factory.

The greenery of the city and the taste of life

Today, I have a rare free time, and I step into that little green world with anticipation. I thought I would find some unexpected "little surprises" here, such as new buds or flowers that bloom quietly. But when I stepped into it, I was shocked by what I saw—the corn stalks that I had planted with my own hands had been cut off and lying on the ground, as if to tell of their misfortune.

Shocked, I hurriedly dialed my husband's phone to ask what was going on. On the other end of the phone, my husband's voice carried a hint of helplessness and apology. He explained that the strong wind had blown the corn stalks to the ground a few days ago, and he wanted to lift them up, but he didn't expect these seemingly tough plants to break off with a gentle support. In order to prevent them from continuing to wither, he simply cut them down and put them in the ground to make fertilizer.

When I heard this, the surprise in my heart gradually turned into relief. It turns out that all this is not some malicious destruction, but the result of the combined action of nature and man. It's a bit of a pity, but it's worth it to think that these corn stalks can be turned into fertilizer to nourish the land and provide nutrients for future planting.

Just as I was about to leave, the corner of my eye swept a bright red. When I looked closely, it turned out to be a few ripe tomatoes. They hung on the branches, seductively red, as if beckoning to me. I plucked them with joy and held them heavily in my hands. These naturally ripe tomatoes are sweeter and more delicious than those that have been ripened with a ripening agent. In this hot summer, eating one or two of these tomatoes not only quenches the heat but also quenches my thirst, and I feel satisfaction and happiness that I have never felt before.

At this moment, I deeply felt the difficulty of farming. In this small vegetable garden, I not only put in sweat and hard work, but also reaped the taste of life and the gift of nature. These seemingly insignificant fruits and vegetables are the most sincere connection and communication between me and nature. They make me feel the beauty and simplicity of life, and also make me cherish and be grateful for this little world of my own.

In the days to come, I will continue to take care of this small vegetable garden and make it an indispensable part of my life. I believe that in this green world, I will find more surprises and touches, and will also make my life more colorful and fulfilling.
