Generally speaking, layoffs are not very happy. After all, it is not easy to find a job in this era, and if you are laid off, it is equivalent to losing your job. But Guangqi Honda is different, many old employees are scrambling to be laid off, but hope that the award of "layoffs" will fall on their heads. In this way, it is possible to retire early. Even if you don't retire, it is not too difficult to find a large new energy car factory to seamlessly connect and re-employ. Why is this so? The root cause is that Guangqi Honda's layoff compensation is too much.

Guangben adopts the "N+2+1.8" compensation plan, which is higher than Tesla's layoff compensation. When Tesla laid off employees, many people sighed that it was better for foreign companies to abide by labor laws, and the compensation that should be given was not a lot. Tesla, which can be compensated in strict accordance with the labor law, has already made many Chinese workers envious. In addition to the provisions of the Labor Law, an additional 1.8 months' salary will be given to the employee compensation of the company.

"N+2" is the standard compensation, that is, it is the same as Tesla. "N" stands for years and "2" stands for an additional two months' salary. "N+1" means that an additional month's salary will be compensated according to the number of years of employment. "N+2" means that an additional two months' salary will be compensated according to the number of years of employment. The captain will give you an example, for example, you are an engineer at Guangqi Honda, with a basic monthly salary of 20,000 yuan, and you have been working for 10 years.

Then, the total amount of your layoff compensation is 200,000 yuan for 10 years of service, and 240,000 yuan for an additional two months' salary. This is the standard indemnity of "N+2". But Guangqi Honda is more conscientious and feels that in the past 10 years, the contribution of employees has also been relatively large. In addition to the "N+2" compensation, another 1.8 months of bonus will be given, which is 36,000. In the end, the total amount of layoff compensation you get for one performance is 276,000 yuan. The older the employee, the higher the base salary, and the more compensation there will be.

Therefore, as soon as this plan was announced, the old employees of Guangqi Honda especially wanted to be laid off themselves. After receiving this huge amount of money, not to mention retiring directly, you can at least rest at home for half a year, or a year, and then come out to look for a job. Especially for some middle-level managers, there is no room for career advancement, and there is not much hope for salary increases.

Why is Guangqi Honda's layoff compensation higher than Tesla's? There are two main reasons for this:

First, Guangqi Honda was founded in 1998 and has been rooted in China for 26 years, and there are a large number of veteran employees with particularly long working experience, both in management and on the production line. Tesla's employees have been hired for a relatively short period of time, and they are mainly new employees who have been laid off for about half a year to a year, and the compensation amount is not too large. But Guangqi Honda is different, it has many old employees for more than ten years, and the main layoff departments are also concentrated in the fuel vehicle sector, and the cost of layoffs cannot be reduced at all.

Second, Guangqi Honda is not a foreign-funded enterprise, but a Sino-Japanese joint venture. It has the nature of semi-state-owned assets and is backed by the Guangzhou Automobile Group, a large state-owned car company. The advantage of state-owned enterprises or semi-state-owned enterprises is that the five insurances and one housing fund will not treat employees badly, and the compensation for layoffs will also be implemented in accordance with the labor law. As a semi-state-owned enterprise, GAC also has to assume a part of its social responsibilities and has a certain amount of care for old employees. This layoff compensation is not entirely borne by Honda, but GAC and Honda each bear half of it.
