Xpeng Motors sold more than 10,000 copies, and the X9 performed well

In May 2024, Xpeng delivered a total of 10,146 new vehicles, up 35% year-on-year and 8% month-on-month. Among them, Xpeng X9 "Nine Crowns" delivered 1,625 units, and a total of 11,456 units were delivered in May, continuing to lead the pure electric MPV and pure electric three-row seat model market. From January to May 2024, Xpeng delivered a total of 41,360 new vehicles, up 26% year-on-year.

It is worth noting that on May 21, Xpeng Motors also released its financial report for the first quarter of 2024: a total of 21,821 smart electric vehicles were delivered; revenue reached 6.55 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 62.3%; Gross profit margin increased significantly to 12.9%, an increase of 11.2 percentage points year-on-year and 6.7 percentage points quarter-on-quarter. As of the end of the first quarter, Xpeng had cash reserves of 41.4 billion yuan. Through the innovative business model output of intelligent technology to improve profitability, Xpeng Motors' self-hematopoietic ability has been continuously enhanced.

NIO's sales exceeded 20,000, setting a record high in monthly sales

In May 2024, NIO delivered 20,544 new vehicles, up 233.8% year-on-year and 31.5% month-on-month, a record high. From January to May this year, NIO delivered 66,217 new vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 51%. So far, NIO has become the first high-end pure electric brand in the industry to deliver more than 500,000 units.

In fact, since the beginning of this year, the competition in the auto market has been very fierce, the price war has intensified, and new products such as Xiaomi SU7 have entered the game, which has brought greater pressure on other brands to increase sales. In this situation, NIO was able to enter the sales period, with monthly sales exceeding 20,000 units, with high gold content. As the main sales models, the total deliveries of NIO ES6 and EC6 exceeded 10,000 in May, of which the cumulative delivery of ES6 exceeded 200,000 units, with the highest sales volume in the 300,000-level high-end pure electric SUV segment, with a monthly market share of 19.36% in April.

Leapmotor sold more than 18,000 units, and a new joint venture was established

On May 14, Leapmotor and Stellantis Group officially established Leapmotor International Joint Venture, in which Leapmotor holds 49% of the shares and Stellantis Group holds 51% of the shares, which means that Stellantis Group has the dominant power. The company started selling electric vehicles in nine European countries in September, and plans to expand its sales network to 200 locations in Europe by the end of this year. In May 2024, Nezha Automobile delivered 13,029 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 18%, including 2,042 overseas sales. Among them, 5,138 units of the Nezha V series were delivered, 3,963 units of the Nezha U series were delivered, 2,212 units of the Nezha S series were delivered, and 1,716 units of the Nezha GT series were delivered.
