Shanglian writes Buddha statues, sitting on lions and lotus flowers is Manjushri Bodhisattva, the first in wisdom and eloquence, and the first of all Bodhisattvas; The elephant is the Bodhisattva of Fuxian, protecting the smooth career, and the "elephant" and "auspicious" homonym, meaning auspiciousness, strength and wealth.
