A few days ago, Cheqq.com learned from relevant channels that the new MINI JCW prototype will be officially unveiled at the Nürburgring 24 Hours Endurance Race held on June 1, and its production version is scheduled to be released this autumn and is expected to be launched in 2025. The new car has been modified to be raced on the basis of the current model, and will be available in both fuel and pure electric power forms.
In terms of appearance, the new car still adopts the MINI family's signature round headlights and oval grille design, the interior of the grille has been blackened, the structure has become more complex, and the visual effect is more sporty. The front bumper is also equipped with large air intakes on both sides to further improve heat dissipation.
The side profile is small and compact, allowing for good flexibility. Lightweight wheels and Pirelli P0 racing tyres have been replaced, while wider wheel arches and side skirts have been added to enhance the sporty character. The rear end is relatively simple, with a two-piece spoiler extending behind the roof, a large diffuser and a single mid-mounted exhaust pipe, giving it a strong racing style.
The petrol version is expected to be powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with a maximum output of 231 hp, and the all-electric version is equipped with a front-mounted single motor with a maximum output of about 250 hp and is paired with a 54.2 kWh battery.
