As a beautiful red business card, Zhang Side Memorial Hall has always been an important red classroom in our county, highly respected by tourists inside and outside the province, and has become an important place for the majority of party members, cadres, masses and young people to learn ideas and carry out patriotic education. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Zhang Side Memorial Hall.
Recently, primary and secondary school students from inside and outside the county have walked into the Zhang Side Memorial Hall to carry out research activities. Through on-site visits, listening to explanations, etc., the students revisited the touching deeds of heroes and martyrs and the glorious history of the party, and expressed their high respect for Zhang Side.

In 2014, the Zhang Side Memorial Hall was officially opened. The memorial hall covers an area of 50 acres, the exhibition hall covers an area of 1,600 square meters, mainly displays the life and deeds of Zhang Side, in the form of physical objects, historical materials, pictures, group paintings, etc., according to the five units of "Valley Rain Season", "Red Star Shining", "Long Journey", "Loyal Soul Forever Casting" and "The Power of Example", using modern display means such as sound, light and electricity, vividly reproduce the ordinary and glorious life of Comrade Zhang Side, and interpret the true meaning of "serving the people".
Since its opening, the Zhang Side Memorial Hall has given full play to its unique advantages in patriotic education and red spiritual inheritance, deeply excavated the historical elements of Zhang Side, successively collected relevant historical information of Zhang Side in Yan'an, Chengdu and other places, deeply cultivated the local red cultural brand, and strived to create a dazzling red business card on the bank of the Jialing River.

We have successively developed high-quality courses such as "Salute to Heroes - A Glorious Model of Serving the People", "A Wonderful Journey to the Museum" and a situational party class of "Carry forward the spirit of Zhang Side and let the red blood be passed on from generation to generation", so as to tell the story of Zhang Side and inherit the red gene.
Zhang Side Memorial Hall also strengthens inter-museum exchanges and cooperation with red memorial halls across the country, and brings together superior resources from all over the country through various forms such as academic seminars, exhibition exchanges, and talent exchanges, so as to create the "Yilong Red" brand. In the past 10 years, Zhang Side Memorial Hall has received more than 4 million visitors, and has successively won the honorary titles of Sichuan Provincial Patriotism Education Base, Sichuan Provincial National Defense Education Base, and Sichuan Provincial Primary and Secondary School Students' Research and Practice Education Base.
