The movie website Deadline recently announced the list of Hollywood's most profitable movies in 2023.
Audiences' preference for superhero movies is fading, and Disney, which was at the top of the list last year, was pulled off the throne, with only one in the top 10 on the list: "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" ranked 9th; Universal's "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" topped the list, in addition, "Oppenheimer" and "Five Nights in Freddy" also made it into the top ten; Warner has 2 movies shortlisted this year, "Barbie" and "Wonka", and Paramount has 2 films, namely "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Smash Bros." and "PAW Team 2: Super Adventure"; Sony Pictures' "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" ranked third; AMC Entertainment entered the top 10 as a dark horse with Taylor Swift's concert movie.
