While humiliating NATO, Russia is already pushing for new combat operations, in fact, Russia not only controls more than 10 villages and towns in Kharkiv, but also has begun to build up forces in the Sumy region, so it is very likely to launch a large-scale offensive in the Sumy region.
The conflict between Russia and Ukraine broke out on February 24, 2022, which is the final result of the Ukrainian crisis. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has publicly responded to France's proposal, and Zelensky rejected French President Emmanuel Macron's proposal and gave reasons. Zelensky said that the truce would only give Russia an opportunity to actively prepare for the next round of offensive, for which he refused to hold a truce during the Olympics. At the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, Ukraine was ready to compromise, just before signing a peace agreement with Russia, then British Prime Minister Boris visited Kyiv, which changed the whole situation, Boris gave the Ukrainian authorities Kiev a new commitment, so that the Ukrainian crisis conflict is now in its third year. Obviously, Ukraine has become a pawn of the West, and Ukraine does not care about its own interests, but is fighting Russia for the sake of the West's strategy.
Today's Ukraine is already in a very passive situation, the Russian army has opened a new front, the impact on Ukraine is huge, Ukraine is likely to be divided into two through the Dnieper River in the future, Russia controls the eastern region, and the Ukrainian Kiev authorities can only control the western region. The inability of the Kyiv authorities in Ukraine to effectively control all regions of Ukraine is equivalent to not being able to join NATO, because NATO has given a condition for joining that there is no war in the relevant countries. For Russia, it is impossible to accept Ukraine's accession to NATO, for which there is a military operation in Ukraine.
As for French President Emmanuel Macron's proposal, Russia did not agree to it, because the Olympic Games held in Paris, France, banned Russian athletes from competing on behalf of Russia, and for this reason, Russia also openly opposed a ceasefire during the Olympics, and Moscow explained that international sports officials did not abide by the Olympic spirit. The West has taken advantage of international events and has repeatedly imposed sanctions on Russia, and it is clear that sports have taken on a political role, for which Russia now refuses to cease fire during the Olympics.
