The rise of "language rubbing" services brings hidden worries to the gray place of supervision

author:Half two finances

In recent years, a new type of virtual love phenomenon - language rub is gradually entering the field of vision of young people, attracting widespread attention. However, an investigation by a reporter from Beijing Youth Daily found that many language erasers took the opportunity to ask for money from each other after chatting deeply, resulting in the loss of users' property. In addition, this approach involves a series of issues such as pornography and lack of supervision of minors. How to carry out industry supervision on this new phenomenon has become a topic of concern for netizens.

The rise of "language rubbing" services brings hidden worries to the gray place of supervision

The rise of the language eraser service There are full-time language erasers with a monthly income of 20,000 yuan

Yucha, also known as "language C", the full name is language cosplay, that is, communicating online with two-dimensional characters or three-dimensional idols played by others, immersing yourself in fictional situations for dialogue, action and plot description, or love.

"Actually, I don't know what the cake for the school girl tastes like. Can you give me a taste? - (rolls his eyes) Is that so? There's one last bite left (pointing to the spoon), or maybe there's a little left in the corner of my mouth...? "No one has ever said anything like it to me, and I'm really happy. - Then trouble Miss Bunny. Hopefully we will always be there for each other in the future. ”

These seemingly "middle two" dialogues are the recent popular style of slang rubbing, in which one party plays a dimensional role or a three-dimensional idol and communicates with customers in text. The content of their communication is generally daily, or imaginary scenes, there is no fixed copywriting, and it is all up to the language eraser to act by himself.

Beiqing Daily reporter learned that the language rub is divided into two modes of paid entrustment and free business, a few years ago when it first appeared to be based on free business, generally because of interest to provide services to customers, but now as the language rub has become gradually popular, more customers have poured into the market, resulting in paid business phenomenon is becoming more and more common, many people have started to work full-time.

A screenshot of the income posted by a language eraser shows that his income in the fourth week of February 2024 will exceed 5,000 yuan, so calculated, the monthly income is more than 20,000 yuan.

On platforms such as Xiaohongshu and Weibo, reporters from Beiqing Daily saw that many people posted screenshots of themselves doing verbal erases, and some were still soliciting business. In fact, many people directly found the language rubber teacher through social platforms, and chatted privately with WeChat.

In addition, there are also special language eraser apps such as "celebrity circle of friends" have emerged, where young people can find a language eraser who meets their favorite online and ask the other party if they take orders.

On the platform, the services marked are free of charge. However, due to the popularity of some of the service of the eraser, if the user wants to obtain the 1v1 service, he may also need to bid with others, and after the bidding is successful, the customer must first pay a certain amount of time to the other party, usually a "specialized" commission fee ranging from a week to a few weeks, before starting the service.

However, a reporter from Beiqing Daily learned that all the fees paid by customers to the eraser are not through the cosplay platform, but are directly transferred by the user to the bank account of the teacher. Many users also said that they "paid money but were not satisfied with the service, and did not want to continue in the future", but there was no way to recover the money. Due to the lack of platform supervision, users cannot recover lost property in the event of a breach of contract.

deceived feelings and money, who will supervise the language rubber?

Beiqing Daily reporter learned that most of the customers of Yucha are star-chasing girls or two-dimensional users, and the characteristics of this group's yearning for idols and strong thirst for emotions make it easy for Yuchashi to use this as a breakthrough to attract customers, induce customers to become psychologically dependent on them, and take this opportunity to carry out economic and emotional fraud.

Xiao W once posted on Weibo Chaohua looking for a language eraser, and a promoter who claimed to be a language eraser took the initiative to contact her, claiming that she could provide paid one-to-one special language eraser services, and the rule was that if the customer was satisfied after the trial operation, a fee of 120 yuan would be charged per week, during which the language eraser account would not be open to others at the same time.

"After four weeks, I developed some dependence on her, and then she started saying some instructive things and asking me what I would do if I were separated," after which the smearist posted on Weibo that if the account ceased, the only way to continue to get in touch was to buy private contact information. He also told Xiao W that he could buy her private contact information for 500 yuan, but the fact is that after the two added their personal contact information, the language eraser still "tied" many people on other accounts to make money.

The rubbers also pretend to be real, looking for reasons to ask customers for large sums of money. "The teacher told me that he met a very bad boss at work and oppressed her, did not pay him a salary, and had to go out at night to pay money, and there was no money for entertainment, and there was only 6 yuan left on his body. Later, I also learned that it was the same person who told other people that his family was very unhappy, and he was suppressed by his family, and he was in urgent need of money," said Xiao W. She and many victims believed the words of the teacher, and transferred money and gave gifts to the teacher through WeChat, with a total amount of more than 10,000 yuan.

Subsequently, Xiao W found out that he had been deceived. However, when she and several victims wanted to report to Weibo, they found that the other party had deleted all the posts involving money.

During the investigation, a reporter from Beiqing Daily learned that since the transfer scene is generally a private transfer on WeChat, once a problem is encountered, the language eraser will cancel the account or refuse to reply to the message in the future, and the user will not be able to contact the other party, and it is difficult to recover the money. In addition, at that time, it was also "consensual", and users were generally reluctant to bother to recover it, and at most they only posted on the Internet to expose it, which further connived at the irregularities of the language rubber.

A reporter from Beiqing Daily asked the customer service of the celebrity circle of friends, "If the two parties do not cheat money in private transactions, does the platform have a way to deal with it?" Customer service response: "You can click on the upper right corner of the other party's personal homepage with a screenshot of relevant evidence to report, and there will be a special staff to verify, and the corresponding evidence screenshot will be attached when submitted to the report page, which will be processed within 24 hours in principle." ”

The customer service also said, "The processing results will not be fed back to the customer, and disputes between private individuals will not be accepted for the time being." ”

Who protects minors from chatting or involving pornographic content?

Xiao M used to be a language eraser, and in order to take orders, he saw the propaganda slogan of a certain language eraser intermediary organization on the Internet. "The intermediary said that he needed to pay a 'joining fee' of 100 yuan. When I was interviewing, the intermediary told me that there were other language erasers who relied on orders to have a turnover of more than 10,000 yuan in half a month, so I didn't have to worry about customer flow." In the end, Xiao M paid a fee of 100 yuan through a personal QR code transfer.

However, Xiao M said that most of the lists recommended by the intermediary involve pornography. "The customer service said that it was 25 yuan a day, and another 5 yuan for driving." Among them, "driving" means to chat with an erotic connotation.

A number of language erasers told a reporter from Beiqing Daily that in the circle, there are many similar "car orders", and some language erasers will add side balls to the chat in order to attract or retain customers, and even more explicit pornographic language.

Some rubbers said that there is no unified pricing for their income, and it all depends on the mood of the customer.

In particular, many of the objects of the whisper are actually minors, and in the one-on-one chat of the whisper, they are also brought into a blank situation without supervision. Xiao W also told reporters: "Before receiving the order, we will not check whether the customer is a minor, as long as you pay the money." ”

The reporter of Beiqing Daily found that at present, the language rubbing industry is chaotic, and the language rubber can obtain a continuous and considerable income without paying the cost and without investing too much time and energy, and this profession has attracted more and more young people to enter the language rubbing circle. At the same time, it also brings problems such as the difficulty of verifying personal identity, and the quality of oneself is uneven, and it is easy to ask for money during chatting, and even send pornographic language to minors.

However, because most of the activities are private, the industry is difficult to regulate. One customer said: "I hope to establish a compliant third-party platform that can chat from the platform, and money transactions are also protected by the platform, which will be safer and more secure." ”
