Since its inception in 2010, it has been held in Chengdu, Beijing, Taiyuan, Chongqing, Hainan and other places for 14 sessions, becoming an authoritative and high-level industry award recognized by global Chinese science fiction and Chinese science fiction, and an important window to observe the creation of Chinese science fiction literature and the development of China's science fiction industry.
This year's Chinese Nebula Awards was recommended by a selection committee composed of 146 outstanding representatives of science fiction researchers, creators, practitioners and enthusiasts, and finally the final selection of the jury selected the gold and silver award winners of the seven awards from 424 candidate works and candidates.

The 15th Chinese Science Fiction Nebula Award for Novel of the Year Gold Award was won by Liu Yang, a representative writer of the new generation of Chinese science fiction, and the winner of the 9th, 10th and 12th Chinese Science Fiction Nebula Awards and the first Chinese Science Fiction Film Rough Stone Award.
Dong Renwei, founder of the Chinese Science Fiction Nebula Award, said, "In 2018, Liu Yang launched his first full-length science fiction novel "Orphans of Mars", and we paid full attention to it. I attended a symposium on "Orphans of Mars" held by Southern University of Science and Technology, and at that time I thought that this was a masterpiece that inherited the neoclassical science fiction style of Liu Cixin. "City in the Well" continues the style of "Orphans of Mars", and deepens the core science fiction concept, with more beautiful writing and more literary. Liu Yang has produced excellent works and is a young writer with great potential to make breakthroughs after Liu Cixin. ”
Holding the trophy, Liu Yang said that "City in the Well" is consistent with the worldview of his previous works, which is what he has always been committed to - connecting all the works and being independent of each other, but with the same worldview and core. Science fiction writer Ri Wen, who won the Gold Award for Novella of the Year at the 14th Chinese Science Fiction Nebula Awards last year, won the Gold Award for Novella again with "The Language of Weightlessness".
