The Premier League has officially released a line chart of the changes in the table of 20 teams this season, and as of the start of the 38th round, there have been as many as 14 changes to the top of the table, and Liverpool, who are currently in third place, are the team leading the most rounds so far.
The line chart shows that there have been 14 changes to the top of the Premier League this season, with Newcastle United being the first to take the top spot, followed by Brighton, Manchester City, Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool. Among them, Liverpool led the most total rounds, with a total of 12 rounds, of which 9 consecutive rounds were led from round 19 to round 27; Arsenal are close behind with 11 rounds, with current leaders Manchester City leading the table with nine rounds, while Tottenham have been at the top of the table for three games in a row, while Brighton and Newcastle have only one game each.
It is worth mentioning that only two teams, Arsenal and Manchester City, have never fallen out of the top five this season. The team with the biggest change in the table is Unai Emery's Aston Villa, who finished bottom of the league after a 5-1 defeat to Newcastle in the first round of the league, and have soared to second place at the top, and are now fourth in the Premier League. Chelsea have also seen a dramatic shift in the rankings, dropping as low as 15th in the Premier League and recently climbing from 11th to sixth on a back-to-back basis.
In terms of the relegation zone, the bottom three of Luton, Burnley and Sheffield United were already assured. If the ranking line is regarded as an "electrocardiogram", these three teams have been "suspended" as early as the 14th round.
