In the waiting hall of Jingtai County Railway Station, the staff is installing AED facilities, carefully debugging the equipment, and explaining the use to the station staff.
Gao Dengbin, assistant engineer of Jingtai County Railway Station: The county Red Cross Society has installed this AED at our Jingtai County Railway Station, which can provide an emergency safety line for the masses, and when there are suspected patients encountering cardiac arrest and other emergencies, they can use AED to rescue patients as soon as possible, so as to gain valuable time for saving lives. We will also actively organize staff to carefully learn how to use AEDs, master basic first aid skills, and win new hope for patients before 120 emergency personnel arrive.
AED stands for automatic external defibrillator, known as the "life-saving device" for cardiac arrest patients, usually placed in densely populated public places, is a portable and easy-to-operate first-aid equipment, the general public can be in the first time for sudden cardiac arrest for electrical defibrillation, to help patients recover their heart rate.
Liu Shengjian, executive vice president of the Red Cross Society of Jingtai County: Up to now, it has covered schools, squares, bus stations, railway stations, parks, stadiums, hotels, shopping malls, tourist attractions and other places in our county, and a total of 19 units have been installed, which is also a practical matter handled by the county government for the people.
In order to improve the public's skills in the use of AEDs, the county Red Cross Society will vigorously popularize the knowledge of emergency rescue and the use of AEDs, so that the masses can understand how to use AEDs in emergencies and let life-saving artifacts "save" around them.
