Admission Principles

(2) All majors are admitted using the results of the provincial unified examination of the student's place of origin, and the candidates must meet the requirements of the provincial unified examination of the student's place of origin. For the provincial unified examination subjects corresponding to the students of each major this year, please refer to the university's undergraduate enrollment website.
(3) Candidates' cultural scores in the college entrance examination and provincial unified examination majors must reach the admission control score line of the same undergraduate majors in the art category in the province where they are located.
(4) Candidates for art and design majors will be admitted according to the principle of score priority according to the admission ranking score from high to low score, and there is no score difference between the majors. After the candidates for music majors enter the file, they will be admitted to the majors according to the principle of priority according to the admission ranking and the order from high to low scores. After the candidates majoring in broadcasting and hosting arts enter the file, they will be admitted according to the admission ranking results from high to low scores.
(5) The admission ranking results of the candidates who enter the file shall be based on the application results provided by the provincial recruitment office of the student's place of origin. For batches that do not provide the application results or the application results are determined by our school, the admission ranking score is calculated as follows:

(6) Sorting rules for candidates with the same score. When the admission ranking results are the same, the candidates of art and design, music, broadcasting and hosting arts majors will be ranked according to the results of the provincial unified examination major, Chinese, mathematics and foreign language from high to low.
(7) If the Ministry of Education and the provincial admissions department of the student's place of origin have other provisions on the admission rules, such provisions shall prevail.
9. Candidates who cannot meet the requirements of the applied majors will be subject to the major adjustment if they obey the major adjustment and meet the relevant admission requirements of the major that has not yet been completed in the enrollment plan. The admission of majors is not carried out across enrollment types, batches, subject categories, and professional groups. Candidates who cannot meet the professional requirements and do not obey the professional adjustment will be withdrawn.
10. The admission measures for outstanding athletes, special programs of colleges and universities, high-level sports teams, sports training, martial arts and traditional ethnic sports majors shall be implemented in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education, the enrollment authorities of the provinces (municipalities directly under the Central Government and autonomous regions) and the corresponding enrollment brochures of our school for the current year.
11. Candidates for the National Special Program, candidates for the local Special Program, candidates for the Free Training Program for Rural Order-oriented Medical Students in some areas of Jiangsu Province, candidates for the Southern Xinjiang Separate Program, graduates of the Xinjiang High School Class in the Mainland, graduates of the Tibet Class in the Mainland, candidates of the Counterpart Aid Xinjiang Program, preparatory classes for ethnic minorities, and candidates who are transferred to undergraduate after graduation of preparatory classes for ethnic minorities shall be admitted in accordance with the relevant enrollment regulations of the Ministry of Education, the provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions) where the students are from, and the relevant enrollment work regulations of the school.

Fees:
The school charges tuition fees according to the standards approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Price Department (Su Price Fee [2014] No. 136 and Su Price Fee [2017] No. 243), and the specific fee standards can be found in the enrollment plan announced by the provincial recruitment office, the website of the University's Finance Office, and the undergraduate enrollment website. The registration handbook for new students of Soochow University, which will be sent with the admission notice, will also inform the specific fees for each major.
Student accommodation is arranged by the school. According to the standard approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Price Department (Su Price Fee [2002] No. 369, Su Caizong [2002] No. 162), the accommodation fee is 500 yuan to 1,500 yuan per person per year.
