Baiyin City, Gansu Province, located in the upper reaches of the Yellow River, is one of the important non-ferrous metal industrial bases in mainland China. Founded in 1954, Baiyin Nonferrous Metals Group, formerly known as Baiyin Nonferrous Metals Company, is one of the 156 key construction projects during the "First Five-Year Plan" period. In September 2023, the silver furnace technology innovation and upgrading project was completed and put into operation, increasing the production capacity of the silver furnace to 200,000 tons/year, reaching the advanced level of the domestic industry, marking that the silver copper smelting technology with independent intellectual property rights has entered the ranks of international advanced copper smelting technology.
In the Yinxi Industrial Park, Baiyin City, Gansu Province, the first phase of the high-conductivity new material project, which was newly built and put into operation at the end of 2023, is stepping up the production of new copper products. This is one of the major construction projects of Baiyin Nonferrous Metals Group Northwest Copper Processing Co., Ltd. based on its own industrial foundation and accelerating the development of new quality productivity. In recent years, the demand for high-quality copper products in the fields of electric power, construction, new energy, machinery, electronics, automobiles, communications, and transportation related to copper processing has been growing, which has promoted the vigorous development of the new copper industry.
